Enoch patiently waited for her father to return home as usual.  It had become a routine of his to come home late.  Enoch didn't mind though,  she liked having alone time.  She got to turn all the lights off and have her eyes glued to the television as it displayed all of her favourite true crime channels.  You'd think she would much rather like horror films,  but she'd only be interested in the ones that were based on true stories.

When the clock struck 12,  Enoch heard the front door open.  She rushed to turn on all the lights and change the channel.  "Enoch!  I'm back"  Naerin's voice echoed through the entire house.  "Hey dad!  I was just watching TV!"  Enoch called out from the living room.  "I've brought a guest.  Come to the kitchen and meet her."  Naerin said.  Enoch excitedly rushed out of the living room to see her father standing in the kitchen,  and an unfamiliar woman sitting on one of the barstools.  "Enoch,  this is Miss Vang.  I met her last week and really wanted you both to have a chat."  Naerin smiled.  Half of Enoch admired this glamorous woman,  and the other half of her felt incredibly intimidated.  Nonetheless,  she sat down beside her and tried not to stare.  "Your name is kind of familiar to me.."  Enoch quietly said to Vang,  who smiled at the girl.  "You've probably heard about me on the news.  Your father tells me you watch it everyday."  She said in a calming tone.  "That's it!  I'm sorry what happened to your home.  I think you're a really admirable woman."  Enoch nervously said to her.  "It's quite alright,  my dear.  I'm happy to live somewhere new.."  Vang smiled.  "Speaking of..  where are you living now?"  Enoch asked.  "Well..  your father is the only one I've gotten to meet since I've been here..  so I'll be staying with you for a few weeks.  I was previously staying in a motel."  Vang replied.  Enoch was in shock.  Not because she was unhappy with Vang staying with them,  but because she was going to be living with the person she was hearing the news babble about..  it was incredibly surreal to her

  "I'm happy to hear that."
