Chapter 8

The Final

El, Dustin, Mike, Joyce and Hopper look with fear when Will walks away. Vines attach themselves back to the boy again. 'What the fuck....' Dustin says when Will disappears in the woods. Hopper stands up and rushes to where his gun is laying on the ground to grab it. 'Hop.. what are you gonna do?' Joyce says eyes filled with tears. 'Kill him.' Hopper says as he runs towards the direction that Will was heading. 'But...Hop..' Joyce replies. Hopper stands still in place and turns around to Joyce. 'It's the only way to end all of this.' Hopper declares. Did you not notice? He controls those monsters now. He is their leader. If we kill him, we end it all.' Hopper explains.

Then, from behind, there is a roar. The Demo Dogs. They turn around to see monsters coming out of the gate openings and attacking people. 'Jesus.' Mike says. El glares angrily at the events unfolding in the town. 'Hopper is right..' El says. 'It's the only way..' Hopper gives a nod and then turns around and starts to run again towards where Will was heading and en the rest of the group follows him. Where in the world is he? Hopper shouts. 'I don't know he was walking this way.' Dustin answers. 'He's already gone, he knows we would come after him.' Mike says. 'SHIT!' Hopper yells.

Nancy, Steve, Robin and Jonathan are now standing in front of the Wheeler's house. Steve lets out a sigh. 'There we are, finally.' 'Couldn't Vecna just fix those cars you know. Whould be way easier to travel with.' Robin opined. 'I don't think a creep goes out and just, you know, fix some cars for us, so we could travel his demension faster, while he doesn't even want us here.' Steve answers. Yes, but it would still be far better than walking. Robin opined. 'Stop it you two now, okay.' Nancy says. Yeah, I'm sorry. Robin opined. 'Let's just find Will now.' Jonathan says. 'Before it's to late.'

They move closer to the home's main entrance. 'I hope our guess was a good one..' Nancy says. She opens the door and walks inside the creepy Wheeler's house. 'WILL!' Jonathan screams. 'Are you here bud?' Nancy raises her gun and moves slowly throughout the home. The rest follows her. 'Will, we are here! It's me, Jonathan.' The older Byers brother yells. "He's not here." Says Steve. 'Check everything. He is good at hiding.' Nancy says.

Steve and Robin go upstairs and Jonathan and Nancy walk over towards the kitchen. Jonathan and Nancy begin to open several cupboards, but Will is nowhere to be seen. 'Where the hell is he.' Nancy says. "The basement, perhaps?" Jonathan responds pointing at the basement door. He isn't in this part of the house, so let's check there.

They walk over to the basement door and slowly go down the stairs. Nancy still holding her gun in front of her. When they finally reached the end of the stairsteps they look around to see nobody. Jonathan quickly goes around to room throwing away blankets and pillows to see if Will was hiding under there. At the same time Steve and Robin bargs down the stairs. 'Will isn't upstairs..' Steve says 'He is not here either..' Jonathan says. Nancy turns to face Steve. 'You don't think..' Says Steve. 'No, NO, I don't want to think about that..!' says Jonathan. 'Don't you dare even say it!'

Then, from outside, there was a crunching sound. In response to the sound, the group immediately circles around. 'What was that..?' Robin says. I.. I'm not sure. Nancy responds to Robin her question. Nancy raises her gun and walks upstairs. 'Nancy.. why are you heading towards the sound? Nancy!?' Steve questions. Nancy opens the door basement door and the rest of the group rushes upstairs as well.

She steps out the front door after opening it, but stops in her tracks as she looks ahead. The rest of the group follows runs towards her. "Nancy, what's happening." She is shaken by Jonathan. Nancy points forward and Jonathan, Robin and Steve look at the way Nancy is pointing. Fire is coming out of the ground, and red light. 'The gate.. it's open.'
