~Valerie's POV~
Remembering why it was I was leaving my chambers in the first place I return to making my way to the arena. The tourney was officially starting today and it's best to watch all the matches. Any of the contestants being possible opponents in the future.
As I strode up to the arena I pulled my hood up, easily concealing my entire face well enough. I spotted a tent near the far back with the name Valor on the outside. I forgot that that's the name I used. It's kind of cringy, but I suppose no one would guess I'm a woman from it. I peered quickly into the tent to find a table and an armor stand. My tent was somewhat smaller than most because I was staying in the castle. A lot of the contestants had beds provided in their tents along with all the things I've got.
As I heard the announcer call for the first two contestants I made my way to the stands. The stands were full of the people of Camelot as the tourney was finally starting. Seems Merlin really is the only one who doesn't enjoy a good tourney. What a dope. Speaking of the dope, I saw him standing behind the King as they watched intently. The King and Queen were holding hands as the announcer started the first match.
The first match wasn't anything special. The men seemed to be not particularly good at using the swords they were swinging around. I truly believe the only competition I'll have in this tourney are the Knights. It's annoying that they are still allowed to enter, I mean why on earth would they want the prize? The prize being one wish granted by the King of Camelot himself. Meaning, I have to win this tournament to be able to achieve my goals, and that's exactly what I plan on doing.

Many matches later and they called for a break. It was nearing noon and it seems everyone was getting hungry. Many of the towns people ran off in search for a quick lunch before returning to the stands. I myself chose to wander through the different market stalls in search for something to eat. Smoke rose from a stall not too far away and I followed my nose to it. The smell giving away what it was; meat skewers. I hadn't had a decent meat skewer in forever.
"A shilling a piece my lady." The old gentleman was bowed forward over his walking cane as he sat on a tall stool behind the stall.
"How about a gold coin for five?" The man's tired, aged eyes widened and he gave me a crazy look.
"My lady you do not need to do such a thing." He held out his wrinkled arm in attempts to stop me from dropping the gold coin.
"But what if I simply just wish too?" The old man seemed to become speechless so I took that opportunity to drop the coin into his coin chest. Taking the five meat skewers I briskly walk off, making sure the old man couldn't chase after me. Not that he could anyway, he looked pretty handicapped.
"That was kind what you did back there." Startled I whip around and throw a meat skewer at the person who dared sneak up on me. Secretly hoping it was Merlin I was throwing my food at. Naturally I was proven wrong when the male simply just ducked out of the way of the skewer. At least it had a chance of being saved if it had hit him, but now, not so much. I watched the meat skewer sail past him and hit a child straight in the face. Laughing I turn from the scene as to not be found out.
"I..I mean you no harm my lady." An awkward chuckle came from the males mouth and I turned back around after controlling my laughter.
"And how on earth could I have known? You should know better than to sneak up on a lady sir Knight." The Knight gave a look of apology before smiling.
