~Valerie's POV~

The double doors to the large hall were wide open as I rounded the corner. Loud sounds came from the room as I got closer. The two Knights stationed at the doors straitened up as they took in my approaching form.

"M..my lady.." They both bowed slightly and then silently went back to keeping guard. I chuckled slightly and a gentle smile took over my face as I entered the large room. My entrance was close to becoming unnoticed before my eyes met Gwen's who sat to the right of King Arthur at the head of the tables. With a bright smile she was quick to rise from her seat and motion me forward. Seems I'm going to be the start of the feast.

The entire hall got silent as the Queen brought their attention to my entrance. Walking confidently to the center of the tables I stop in front of the King and Queen. It took all of me to not crack up at the wide eyed looks of all the people who knew me. Curtsying low I once again find myself waiting for permission to stand.

"You may rise lady Valerie." I do as the King allows and rise with a smile. "Tonight we have the honor of seeing the lady Valerie perform for us." A few murmurs were heard about the winner of the tourney and when I would make my request. Very many people were still shocked at my winning of the tourney. King Arthur held up a hand and the whole room became quiet again. "Afterwards we shall hear lady Valerie's request, as she was the winner of our four day tournament." Satisfied that there would be no more talking I take a few steps back to center myself in the room.

"I was given a heart before I was given a mind." I start singing with a low sweet tune, preparing myself to dance along with the lyrics.

"A thirst for pleasure and war, a hunger we keep inside." Beginning my dance I fluidly move to the songs rhythm. Swaying and turning whilst expertly swinging my sword in a beautiful manner.

"We fell from sky with grace, and life gave us a sweeter taste." My voice grew a little louder now, rising in an octave as well.

"You can drink, you can feast." I watched my decorative sword fly around in magnificent arches as the metal shone brightly against the heavily lit room.

"There's beauty in your beast." The entire room was silent as all eyes watched as I passionately continued on.

"The flesh in the fruit and the blood in the wine."

"Come on, and feel alive, lover."

"Come on, and feel the love like a sinner."

"Shout it louder, shout it for the ones who could never say."

"I won't feel ashamed, mother."

"Can you break the chains, off her?"

"Shout it louder, not a sinner, she's a lover."

"I was given a name before I was given blood."
Slowing the melody down and into the same soft tune as when I first begun the song, I matched my movements. Making sure everything was slow and rhythmic. I wanted my performance to be as visually pleasing as possible.

"Like you were given your faith, before there was made a God." My body was relaxed as I poured my heart into my performance. Completely falling into the void that was singing and dancing.
