Cassidy's hug was longer than I anticipated. I've barely known the girl and here she was acting as if we were best friends. I liked her though.
"So you and my brother?" Cassidy's curiousness intensed as we looked down at my body that was clothed in Derek's apparel.
"Oh.. Shit! God, no!" I noticed that my response came out harsher than I planned. "Sorry, but no no. We just met, he helped me out with a situation in my house."
Her expression was still confused. Most likely because I still haven't explained why I was in Derek's shirt and underwear. Just as I was about to get to that, Cass made her way to the kitchen.
I stood there confused until I heard Cass's voice from the other room. "So do you want anything to eat? I'm starving!"
"Uhm, no thanks! I'm actually headed to school. It was nice seeing you again!"
"Are you sure? You're already out, why go back?"
"Well your dick of a brother didn't wake me up this morning and I really don't want to miss school the first month."
With goodbye exchanges, I made a quick dash to my car and found a pair of jeans in the back seat. My long legs made it difficult to stretch out my legs and lift my jeans that were a size too small. At this point I didn't care how I looked, I needed to make it back to school by lunch.
I managed to make it to school with 10 minutes to spare. There was no point in going to class with ten minutes so I began cleaning my car a bit. On the passenger side, I spotted a black box looking thing. I picked it up to find it was Derek's wallet. That dumbass. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to look through his wallet, but I didn't want to be an asshole who does that. I dropped it in my bag and made my way to the cafeteria.
"Sleeping beauty is finally awake!"
"Shut the fuck up Kayla. Hand me your make up bag." The only good thing about having girlfriends is that we all go through the same struggles. When you need a tampon, they're there. When you need makeup, you're covered.
"Where were you second period? Mrs. T was having a fit already." English was going to be the worst class this year. This was definetly not going to be the only time I miss that class.
"I was at that kid Derek's house." Kayla's reaction was the complete opposite of Cassidy's. She wasn't surprised, but still curious.
"Oh, he's cute. Was he good?" Kayla was always curious about how good guys are in bed. Ever since she slept with what she considers a "nerd," she's steered away from "jocks." I will forever have "the quiet ones are the freakiest," engraved in my mind because of her.
"We didn't have sex, Kayla." Why does everyone assume I have sex with every guy I know? It gets annoying.
"You're wearing his shirt, sorry." She laughed it off as if I were lying.
"Okay, when did it become a rule that wearing a guy's shirt means you've fucked?!"
"Alright! Alright! I see how sensitive you're getting, so I'll drop it." The look on Kayla's face lit up. She had an idea. "So do you think you and Mr. Andrews would mind going out with Hayden and I?"
"Hayden? He's in the soccer team with Victor, I'll ask him."
"Shit, I forgot you still talk to him. Alright, that's fine. It's always less awkward when there's more people around us."
"Friday it is."
The bell rang marking the end of lunch. I had gym this period which I was in no rush to get to. Instead, I ran up to Victor's locker hoping to get this date thing out of the way.
Luckily, I caught him just as he was leaving.
"Victor! Hey, I need to ask you something!"
"Hey! How you been? I haven't seen you since.." His smile faded as he realized what he brought back.
"Yea, let's not go back to that." We both nodded in agreement.
"You are one strong chick, you know that?"
"I try my best." Victor put his hands on my shoulders and brought me in for a hug. "What do you say about hitting up the town with Kayla, Hayden, and I?"
Victor looked down at me in astonishment and then with a smile. "Hayden and Kayla are still a thing?"
"Apparently. So what do you say?"
"Yea, I'm down. Text me, okay?"
We've been wrapped up into the conversation that we hadn't realized the bell rang awhile ago and that we had still been embracing.
