Nat POV

Yelena has been here for 2 days and Max's mood has improved immensely. And it has stayed consistent. Yelena even got her to go outside. She hadn't been out of the house since the doctor's but that didn't really count.

Wanda and I have had some time to bond more as a couple which has been nice. Today we went to our favorite coffee shop and had breakfast. We're currently at Wanda's favorite garden supplies store.

I went to the corner of the outdoor section so I could sneakily call Yelena to check up on her and Max while they're out and about doing God knows what.

"Hey, how is she doing?" I ask whispering.

"The fact that you are whispering, Natasha, is pathetic. We are fine sestra, I promise you." Yelena playfully yells into my ear.

"I know, I know okay? I'm just worried about her! Has she had any panic attacks or flashbacks or anything like that?" I whisper yell, as I see a random lady pass me by and I just smile awkwardly.

"Maxie, have you had any panic attacks or flashbacks? Your overbearing mother is asking." I can practically hear Yelena rolling her eyes.

"No, mom. I promise you, I'm fine. It's been good to see the daylight. I promise I will let you and mama know if I have a flashback or attack, okay?" Max tells me sweetly.

"Okay, honey. Be careful, I love you both."

"I love you both too!" I hear Wanda say behind me, scaring the daylights out of me. Only she has a way of sneaking up on me.

"Oooo, you were caught Romanoff. Have fun, bye!" Yelena says finally hanging up as I internally scold myself.

I slowly turn around to see Wanda smirking with her eyebrow raised.

"Really, Nat? You couldn't even last the morning?" She asks.

"I'm sorry Wands, I just worry. She's already been through too much."

"Honey, I understand that, I worry too. But we need to give her just a bit of space. She's with Yelena, she won't let anything happen to her. We need to show her that we trust her to come to us if she has any problems."

"I know." I sigh. "I know. I just couldn't help it. Maybe some space will do me some good, eh?" I chuckle as I bring Wanda into my arms.

"It will, baby. Come on, I saw the cutest planting pot back there. I wanna use my beautiful wife's credit card." Wanda says, wiggling her eyebrows.

"You know we're on the same credit card, right?" I say following her to the pot section.

"I know, but something about you swiping that card, paying for my gardening stuff, just really turns me on."

Of course the same random lady from before is in the same aisle we are and hears Wanda. I just smile awkwardly, again as she leaves to go to another aisle.

After we finished up at the garden store, we stopped at the local bookstore to get me a new book I've been wanting to read. We lastly stopped at that cute bakery that MJ works at, to bring home some of Max's favorite pastries.

As soon as we arrived back home, Wanda made a bee line to her garden just itching to use her new tools and plant some of her winter seeds. I turned on the fireplace and made some tea and started reading my book to distract myself from my worry towards Max. When Wanda comes back in a while later, I try to hide the fact that I'm nervously shaking my leg and biting my nails, when I see her smiling at me and shaking her head.

"She's fine, my love. They'll be home soon. They know I'm making chicken paprikash." She says, walking upstairs to our room.

I really need to calm the fuck down. Motherhood has changed me.
