Taehyung's POV

"So we will be doing the report on Wuthering Heights on Saturday so we have to finish the entire book by this week. Will it be okay if you handle the PowerPoint presentation while I go to Wangsan beach to take photos for our brochure project on Culture Class?"

I averted my already strained eyes away from the brightly-lit laptop monitor so I could glance at my forever school tandem. A sigh immediately left my lips when I saw that Jungkook was the image of a very relaxed person which was the complete opposite of me at the moment. I'm still in my long-sleeved white uniform and slacks with my glasses fixed on my eyes. A list of our class requirements is reflected on my laptop monitor while my planner is on my desk, vandalized with my scribbles. On the other hand, Jungkook, in his loose plain white shirt and black shorts, is comfortably laying down on my bed while repeatedly tossing and catching a small blue ball.

"Jungkook!" I snapped when a solid minute had passed and he hasn't responded nor looked in my direction.

My voice startled him, making him fail to catch the ball, which landed perfectly on his face. On a normal day, I would have burst out laughing but today, I'm too stressed so I just simply rolled my eyes.

Jungkook sat up and faced me with a pouting face while rubbing the area of impact. "What was that?"

Once again, I rolled my eyes. "I said, we have to finish reading the book this week so we can consolidate our ideas on Saturday. Afterward, you'll make the PowerPoint while I go to Wangsan beach to take pictures."

Jungkook's frown seemed to go deeper and deeper as I went on to repeat the plan I came up with. By the end of my dialogue, he was already shaking his head. "No, I'm coming with you."

My eyebrows immediately met. "What? You don't have to. Just make the presentation while –"

"It's too dangerous to travel alone. I'll go with you," he argued and I could sense the firmness in his tone.

"Jungkook, be reasonable. It's more efficient if we're both doing something at the same time. We have too much on our plate to waste any time," I pushed my point.

"Your safety is non-negotiable," Jungkook said with his deep serious voice. His face is also stern and I know that this will be like talking to a wall. "Besides, I will also need to take videos of the beach."

Well, he's got a point there. I'm perfectly skilled in photography and a bit decent in videography but Jungkook has a sense of depth and creativity for video concepts. Also, it's nice to have someone accompanying me to a place I've never been to before.

"So what will I do on Saturday when you're working then?" I asked and I can feel that I'm on the brink of compromising.

"Sit beside me and be gorgeous?" Jungkook's face relaxed to its usual playful state. A sexy mischievous smile appeared on his lips. "I'm sure there'll be no problem there. Effortless."

I pressed my mouth in a thin line and glared at him. "I'm being serious here!"

Jungkook cocked a brow. "And so am I! You're going to help me get inspired. That's pretty big help..." he trailed for a few seconds, staring into space before his gaze returned to me. "But then again, your sinful lips could surely distract me to hell."

My eyes widened at his bold statement and I could feel the blood rushing to my face. My insides started to panic while Jungkook seemed unapologetic and unfazed. I swiveled back to my laptop monitor to avoid his eyes and so I could calm the unsettling emotions swirling within me.

I focused my eyes on the screen but his words seemed to take over my monitor too because it's all I could see.

Damn you to hell, Jeon!
