Third Person's POV
It was tragic, he decided. The fate of the raindrops was tragic in the eyes of 25-year-old Kim Taehyung. His eyes are void of any emotion as he languidly gazes on the big crystal window of their company. The sound of the rain cannot be heard inside the company yet his heart seems to resonate the same thunders and lightning as that outside.
Another one..., Taehyung mused as he observed a raindrop land on the window. A few seconds later and another raindrop fell and landed just a centimeter above the previous one. 'Their tragic fate begins now...'
Taehyung watched closely how the two raindrops seemed to play tag as they chase each other down the window. The blue-haired boy unconsciously pursed his lips as he saw how the raindrops had ended their childish chase as they merged into one. 'If only it ends there...' but it doesn't because just a few moments later, the merged raindrop was soon wiped away by the newly arrived ones, and just like that their existence vanished with no trace. 'Just as I expected...'
"Taehyung! Hey Taehyung!"
Taehyung's thoughts vanished along with the loud thunder as he faced his hyung who had called him. From the expression of Yoongi's face, he had been calling him for a while now.
"What is it?"
"What do you mean what is it? We're gonna start filming for our Run BTS you know," Yoongi answered while scratching his head. It almost reminded Taehyung of Shikamaru and Shikadai from the anime he had been watching. "What are you even being sentimental about here?"
"Ahh, nothing..." Taehyung smiled weakly. "Just found an inspiration for a new song."
This obviously piqued Yoongi's interest as music is literally his life and songwriting is one of his fortes. "Oh? Mind sharing it?"
Taehyung glanced at the rain-soaked window before answering. "It's about the tragic fate of the raindrops."
"Tragic fate of raindrops?" Yoongi mimicked.
Taehyung nodded. "The raindrops... from the moment they leave the clouds, they start their unknown journey. A scary journey since it's dark, cold, and they don't know where they'll end up. They also have to endure the loud roar of thunder and the piercing flash of lightning. They can't even have hope for the sun because the sun will dry them up and bring them back up to the sky to repeat the torturous journey again. Apart from that, some raindrops fall near each other and they begin to be comforted to have some company. They begin to think that this storm may be bearable because they have each other and so they play. They chase each other and eventually they become one, only for them to be washed away... to vanish."
Yoongi's eyes never left Taehyung as the younger passionately explained his foundation for his new song. "That's actually so deep. I'm impressed."
"Really hyung?" Taehyung asked, pleased to hear a compliment from the hyung that he respected so much.
"Yeah," Yoongi affirmed. "Who would have thought you're capable of thinking like that? Will your brain cells be okay after being overworked like that?"
"Yah!" Taehyung pouted and jokingly glared at his hyung who kept teasing him. "Anyway, we should go before Namjoon hyung gets mad at us for delaying the filming."
Truth be told, Taehyung didn't feel like filming today because of his pounding headache. He just wanted to lay on his soft and warm bed and sleep but of course, he cannot be too selfish. It was his responsibility to attend to his schedules and to make their fans, ARMY, happy.
"All right guys. Please take your seats! We'll start in two minutes!" the director yelled and then checked the set once more.
Taehyung quietly obliged and sat on the farthest cushion. Since he's not feeling well, he knows that he will not be able to muster being his energetic self and will not be able to contribute much to the show. This is the reason why he chose the farthest seat where he will be somewhat unnoticeable.
