"Iris it's safe to co-" Michael whispered into the room but he fell silent at the site of us still hugging.

Carter pushed me away when he heard Michael talking.

"You hid her under my bed?" Carter asked glaring at Michael while I tried calming my racing heart.

So this is Carter's room.

The left wall was an entire window with the prettiest view I've ever seen, and the walls had little to no decorations, while his bed was a mixture of white and grey with little pieces of brown. The room was dark even though the sun was shining outside and I couldn't help but imagine how fun it would've been if I could stay in here and read all day.

But the look Carter gave Micheal told me that I'd never see this room again after today.

Frowning at the thought I shook it off when Michael started laughing at his reply.

"I didn't see you minding a few minutes ago".

Jumping back at the sound of a gunshot I bumped into a hard chest but that was the least of my worries right now.

"You missed buddy!" Michael yelled out running down the hall.

Registering what he yelled, I turned my head so fast it would break searching for the gun, I froze when I saw Carter holding the gun that was pointed at the door, where Michael stood.

Backing away slowly, I hoped he wouldn't notice until it was too late but with my luck, he saw.

"Why'd you run Iris?"

"I...I won't go back" I replied hoping he'd put down the gun.

I knew how it felt to get shot too well so I would try my best to answer all his questions so he wouldn't shoot.

"Why?"

"They gave me to him and I'd rather die than go back".

I was being honest about my feelings, I'd rather be dead than spend a second with him and if it came to a point where I'd have to do it myself I would.
