The Italian forces of the Brighto Foundation were guarding a portal to the [Redacted] [Redacted] when one of them got shot in the head. They turned to see 3 dozens of the Serpent's Hand in which they called for backup before being shot by the Serpents. IT site Vesta director heard the call and prepared to defend the site as it was very close to the portal with nearby force SSM-IV quickly arriving in minutes to aid IT Site Vesta with some regular mechs as backup. Thanks to [Redacted] quick thinking a flood at Vesta was warned so the battle is uninterupted since the [Redacted] suspected the Serpent's Hand to use this battle to expose them. The mechs fought the Serpent's Hand at the entrance of IT Site Vesta with SSM-IV quickly helping out by a flank to the west of the Serpent's Hand. After a while of fighting a winning battle against the Serpents 2 more MTF Forces arrived known as SSM-IX or Machinamenta and the Aviators which with their help the fight was practically won with the Serpent's Hand either retreating to the Library or dying with a few captured.
