Oliver bursts through Percy's door at the same time every morning that holiday yet the Weasley boy never seemed to be ready for it.

"Woo! That was a good run." Oliver said cheerfully, grabbing a few clothing items before he went to shower.

Percy sat up in bed, noting how hard it was snowing outside.

"Oliver, it's bloody blizzarding outside! You still went for a jog?" Percy exclaimed. Not to mention the fact that Oliver refused to use a warming charm. Percy had to use one to simply sit outside and read this time of year. He was certain running in a blizzard without one had to have been a ghastly experience, yet Oliver looked unbothered.

"Quidditch waits for no one Percy, I can't let up on my training. Not even for a blizzard." Oliver explained.

"Whatever." Percy sighed, rubbing the sleep from his face as Oliver let himself out.

The hot shower felt soothing to Oliver's tired muscles, but he chose not the shower for long. The more he'd think about how much work he was doing, the harder it would be to continue, she he chose not to dwell on it too long.

"Ah Oliver you cock up." He sighed when he noticed he had forgotten to grab a new shirt.

He decided it wasn't much of an issue, as Percy's room was just a crossed the hall. He figured if he ran he'd make it without anyone seeing.

He gently opened to door, making sure no one was around, then he swung it open swiftly as he threw himself forward as fast as he could.

Unfortunately for him, Marianna was making her way down the hall at that very moment. This caused an unpleasant scene. The two fell forward into Percy's room, Oliver on top of Marianna. With the quidditch player still shirtless, and slightly damp from his shower.

"BLIMEY!" Percy yelled surprised.

Oliver quickly lifted himself off of Marianna, helping her to her feet. Marianna was bright red, attempting to look anywhere but at Percy or Oliver.

"Could you two be any more obvious, it's sickening." Percy huffed as he stormed out the room.

"Wait, Percy it's not what it looks like-" Marianna started but the sound of Percy slamming his door as he walked out interrupted her.

Oliver scratched the back of his neck sucking air through his teeth as he cringed slightly. His demeanor was full of guilt while he pulled a jumper over his head.

"I'm sorry Marie, I should have remembered to grab a-"

"You still haven't told him?" Marianna questioned.

Oliver looked up at the ceiling, avoiding her gaze.

"Oliver, he's your best mate. You need to tell him."

-flashback-

"It's okay Ollie, you can kiss me."

"Are you sure?"

Marianna nodded and Oliver leaned in. Their lips were seconds from touching before Oliver pulled away abruptly. He ran passed the rest of the Gryffindor party and locked himself in his dorm room.

Marianna was already gently knocking on his dorm door by the time he threw himself face first into his bed.

"Alohomora." She whispered.

She silently walked towards Oliver, sitting gently at the end of his bed frame.

"I'm sorry Marie, I hope I haven't embarrassed you." He said into his pillow, his words slightly muffled.

"That's alright Ollie, you didn't mean any harm." She replied.

Oliver sat up, sitting cross legged with the pillow still in his arms. He turned to face her, taking a deep breath in.

"I'm gay." He admitted, shaking slightly.

He kept his eyes shut, nervous on how his mate would react. They hadn't been talking much lately yet she was the first one he had told, he could hardly admit it to himself. When she didn't reply right away he felt like he had made a mistake somehow but when he felt her warm embrace around him, he melted at her touch.

"I love you Oliver, nothing will ever change that, alright?" She said softly beside his ear.

"Alright." Oliver replied through soft sobs.

Oliver groaned as he threw himself face first into Percy's bed, similar to the way he had that night all that time ago.

"Oliver, he'd never judge you for this. He loves you."

"No, you love me, and yet you still stopped talking to me after I told you." Oliver pointed out.

"That wasn't my intention, Percy... he-"

"Is Percy, I know. Why do you think I haven't told him? He gets all weird when things change, he completely shut down after your fight. I needed you." Oliver sighed.

Marianna felt guilt wash over her. She hadn't thought her leaving the friendship had affected Oliver this much. She assumed she didn't bring much to the table in the first place, but maybe she was wrong.

"You missed me?" She asked, surprised.

Oliver laughed as he stood up and pulled Marianna into a hug.

"Of course I missed you Marie, you were...are, my best friend. When are you going to admit that you are actually pretty awesome?" Oliver explained.

"I don't feel awesome. I feel like it's all a facade. People are only drawn to me because of my grandfather, you know that."

Oliver ticked his tongue loudly.
"That's what you keep telling yourself, but maybe, just maybe, it's not true. Maybe people like you for you, because you are kind, smart, and talented. It's okay to feel good about yourself or even brag once in awhile Ya know."

Marianna thought about his words long and hard, and yet they didn't get through to her.
"I still think you should tell him." She finally said.

Oliver chuckled.
"Yeah well I still think you should tell him your own secrets as well. Oh and while your at it, you should tell your parents you want to work in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and not at the Minister of magic like your father wants, and not being a house wife or whatever your god awful mum wants."

"Touché." Marianna mumbled.

"What was that?" Oliver laughed.

"I said you're right, maybe I should. Then you have to hold up your end of the bargain Wood." She stated before turning on her heels and walking out of the room.

"Wait, that's not what I meant, Marie!" Oliver said as he ran after her, fully hoping she was kidding about him having to tell Percy.
