While we were running, Akela started talking to me through our link.

(Akela): I can't believe he rejected us for that bitch.

(Me): I know Akela, but hopefully we'll find our second chance mate and he won't do us the same way.

(Akela): I hope you're right.

(Me): Me to Akela. Me too.

We cut the link and Reyna mind-linked me and asked me if we could take a break because we've been running for hours non-stop, so I said yes.

Greyson's POV

When I got home it was quiet, so I went to the kitchen and saw no food. I got mad and yelled, Where is my food! There was no answer, so I went to Reese's room and saw her parents. They were mad and crying, but you could tell it was for two different reasons. I saw a piece of paper in Naomi's hand, so I went up to her and took it out of her hands. It was a note from Reese that said,

Dear Bastards,

I left the pack because of all the abuse so don't try to look for me because you will never find me. Your stupid alpha rejected me, and I accepted it. To my so-called parents don't try to act like you care when I'm gone because I know you're just faking it and last but not least Greyson I hope you have fun with your new Luna.

I was so mad, but then I thought, 'why should I be?' I never wanted a mate in the first place. My wolf Drake started yelling at me through our link.

(Drake): You selfish jerk! Why did you reject our mate? She was beautiful and intelligent!

(Me): Shut up Drake. She wasn't even that beautiful, and besides, I don't want a mate.

After that, I cut off our link. I don't need a mate. Who does he think he is? I'll just have sex with Rebecca and mark her as my Luna instead. I heard someone calling my name, so I looked to see it was Naomi.

Naomi: Alpha Greyson?

Me: What?

Naomi: What are we going to do?

Me: Nothing. You read the note. She left and she's probably dead now anyway. Rouges don't last long without a pack.

Naomi: You're probably right.

Me: I know I'm right. Now find us another maid and make sure she's pretty.

Naomi: Yes, Alpha.

She turned around and walked out to go do what I told her to do. Reese's mom looked like she didn't care that her daughter left, and I have a feeling she doesn't. Her dad cared a lot, but I didn't care so I walked out.

Reese's POV

We stopped by a tree and laid down. I fell asleep dreaming about the Moon Goddess.

I was walking in the woods when I spotted a lake with flowers surrounding it, so I sat down on the grass and closed my eyes. I opened my eyes when I heard a voice ask, "May I sit with you?" I looked to see the Moon Goddess and I said yes. Once she sat down she looked at me and smiled.

Moon Goddess: Hello my child.

Me: *I smiled back* Hello.

Moon Goddess: I have to tell you something. It's about your mom and dad.
