Jenny's POV:
My eyes fluttered open and shut again at a sharp pain in my head. My side was in constant pain and I couldn't move. It felt strange not having anybody. I had never been truly alone, I had always had my sister and others but now there was no one. My current position was uncomfortable and the rocks from the rubble pressed into my stomach irritatingly.
There was dust everywhere and there was the sound of crying from the other side. My mother's crying and a boy's sobs, Cannis' sobs. Slowly I went over everything that had happened. We had been having a great time, then there had been an explosion and then I couldn't remember anything. I tried to say something but my mouth started filling with dust.
It was cold and everything was covered in dust that I could feel more than see, actually I couldn't see anything. I hoped that my mother was okay I could just picture her weeing over me for days before she got up.
