I was adopted at the age of 5 by the scrubbs.
I'm 8 years older than eustace and I'm mute.
They were desperate and wanted a child, and they were lied to, they didn't know I was blind and when they did find out they tried to give me away but couldn't.
They kept me with them but never treated me well, thankfully they never hurt me but they didn't care about me, all they did was make me take care of the house and eustace while they mingled and did what they liked.
13 years later my "cousins" came to live with us and I loved every minute of it. so far.
