(Kinks /JOKING; cringe)

It was a fairly busy day, a lot of customers came in.

I had prepared myself for today, as I did everyday I had to go out in public, but even then it only helps so much, my anxiety was still present.

I go into the bathroom taking a breathing break, just to calm myself down.

'Everything is gonna be okay.'

After a few minutes of me calming down and playing candy crush, I get back to work.

My co worker, Judy, smiles at me, she always had my back at work and I appreciated that.

"Are you feeling better?" She asks, "Yeah, just a little hiccup but I'll be alright." She smiles, "This would be my last shift, when do you get out?"

I look around thinking, "I think this is my last shift too." She clasps her hands together, "You wanna go to that Italian restaurant down the street? I heard they have spaghetti to die for!"

'Spaghetti does sound good, especially right now.'

"Sure, but can we order takeout and eat it in my car? I'm kinda worn thin today..." she nods, "Yes we can."

Suddenly the door opens, the atmosphere changing immediately.

A familiar short man walked in first, he was on the phone as he held open the door, his expression was neutral, I guess the conversation was just about business.

Then walking behind him was Salvatore, wearing all black, he took off his sunglasses and I heard the other ladies behind me sigh.

"Who is that?!" One of my co-workers said, "Isn't that Salvatore Park??"

Judy leans into me, "Salvatore, isn't that your roommate?" I nod, "y-yeah that's him."

"Do you want me to order sir?" The short white haired man said, touching his Bluetooth, "No, ray. You can just finish your phone call."

'Ray! Ray Rose! I remember him now! He's Salvatore's secretary!'

Ray walks out of the cafe, standing outside, it was still my shift so I had to serve him, even though some of my co workers were debating on taking my spot.

'Of course...'

I walk up to the counter, smiling, "Well, hey there." Salvatore grins, "Hey."

"So I guess you were actually serious when you said you would come here." He nods, "I never break promises." I look down, 'is he seriously flirting with me right now?!'

I clear my throat, "Anyways, what would you like today?"

He crosses his arms, looking up at the menu, I take a look at his outfit, a long dark grey trench coat with a black turtleneck, absolutely delicious.

'Focus amalia!'

"I'll take a latte." He looks at me, "And one of your chocolate donuts."

"Okay—"

"Actually, I changed my mind." He puts his hands in his pockets, "I want two chocolate donuts." He smiles and I raise my eyebrow at him, "Will that be all?"

"Yes."

"Two donuts?" I hear one of my coworkers say, "Yet he has such a nice body?" My other coworker giggles, "Or maybe it's a cheat day?"

'Or maybe he's just ordering a donut, freaking weirdos.'

I make his coffee and pass my gossiping coworkers, I assume they didn't know he was a vampire or that I lived with him because their eyes were wonderstruck.

And of course they would be, this was the first time ever he came in here, and everyone eyes fell on him.

Maybe it was his vampiric presence, or maybe just because of how tall he is, I wasn't sure, but I could agree Salvatore often put me in a trance by merely existing near me.

I come back with his latte and donuts, he hands me his black card, Ray comes back in and smiles at me.

I smile back, 'I guess he knows who I am.'

"Thank you." Salvatore says, "I'll see you back home." He puts his sunglasses on and I hear someone gasp, "You're welcome, take care."

Before they leave I see Ray and Salvatore mildly bickering over who holds the food until Ray gives up and lets Salvatore hold it.

'Weird.'

"You live with him?" One of my coworkers ask as I take off my apron, Judy was not far from me, "Yes. He's my roommate."

"Really?!" It was just the same two co workers standing near me, seems like everyone else continued working, "Yes."

"How is it?! I mean imagine waking up to seeing that everyday—"

"I'm sorry but my shift is over and I'm starving, could you move?"

She stares at me, "Oops sorry. Well bye amalia!"

I smile at her before walking out, Judy following behind.

"Why are those two so annoying sometimes?" I sigh and Judy shakes her head.

I was still amazed by him even showing up, especially on this side of town, I wonder if I'd see him more.

'Knowing Salvatore, that's probably a stupid question.'
