Randi: It was all Sumana.
Ashlyn: What? No, Sumana was the one who stopped Hannan's killings, wasn't she? She convinced Hannan never to kill again, that's why it stopped after her 14th birthday!
Randi: That's the story they tell, but it's not the whole story that happened.
Randi: The day before Hannan's birthday, they were all at the cafe down the street from Sumana's house. Hannan, Annan, Sumana and my best friend. That was the day of the last murder. I wasn't there for the real thing that year, but how I found out about what happened...
Sophie: That night, after the third trial, I showed Randi a very special video, a video important enough for her to turn on everything she's built for herself and become the traitor.
Ashlyn: Show us the video.
Sophie: Of course I will, you didn't think I would just leave you guys hanging, did you? See what I did there?
Randi: Wait- I'm not sure if-
Sophie: Monokuma, play the video!
Monokuma: Puhuhuhu! This is going to be reaalllll interesting!
The TV screen dropped from the trial room ceiling again, but this time something new came on.
Security footage depicting what looked like a kitchen, and in the corner stood a short, thin girl. It looked like she was busy making coffee.
And then someone else walked into the kitchen.
???: Eh? Hannan, why are you in the kitchen?
Hannan: No, I just wanted to check if you needed help.
???: Not really, but thanks.
There was a moment of silence as Hannan closed the kitchen door and leaned awkwardly against the counter, out of the girl's peripheral vision.
???: Sooo, why are you still here? Go join the others outside, the coffee's almost done.
Hannan: Listen, can I ask you a question?
???: Sure. What is it?
Hannan: How'd you meet Annan?
???: Hmm? Well I was running the booth for my school at a barista fair, and Annan was there as well. Not sure if you were there too, but I think Annan had a gymnastics competition at the same venue later in the day, and since you're a duo you were probably with her.
???: But after that we just exchanged numbers and became friends I guess, nothing out of the ordinary, we hang out. Why do you ask?
Hannan: Oh, no reason. Just curious, you know since I'm Annan's best friend.
Hannan slid her hand across the counter, gently picking up a wooden rolling pin and holding it above the other girl's head as her back was turned-
???: I have a best friend too! Just like you. We're inseparable!
Movement in the kitchen paused as Hannan tensed upon hearing those words.
???: Her name's Randi! She's a great barista too. Too bad we couldn't both be ultimates like you and Annan, I would love to go to the school with her.
Hannan lowered the weapon, eyes softening.
Hannan: Your best friend?
???: Maybe I should've invited her here, then she could meet all of you and we could all be friends. She's really nice, you both would get along.
