Chapter 18: A General's Demise

The next day, the two teams received a call from Ozpin to head to Atlas as he and Goodwitch will be there. Oscar is now the Headmaster at Beacon and his remaining resistance fighters are now students at Beacon.

Now everyone had finally arrived there where Ozpin and Ironwood had a talk.

Ironwood: Ah! The man of the hour is here! It's good to see you again Mister Uzumaki.

Naruto: Mhmh...

Ozpin: I believe it's time to tell the students here the next phase of the plan.

Ironwood: Yes of course. The Otsutsuki clan has set its sights on Atlas and we shan't let it happen. Just recently, Arthur Watts has volunteered to assist us in eliminating them.

Said man appeared just in time along with Juumonji.

Watts: In collaboration with Pietro, we have built a device called Amity Tower that is designed to hamper the Otsutsuki clan's chakra points. We lack the materials needed to complete its construction thanks to Robyn's thievery.

Naruto: She shouldn't have to worry about Mantle's wall. I restored it before I left.

Watts: The zetzu clones destroyed parts of it after you left and though it's still standing, they are currently besieging it.

Ironwood: Your job Teams NRWBY and JHNPR is to guard Mantle's wall against incoming enemy attacks. The Happy Huntresses will try to obstruct you but I've sent Juumonji to intercede to them and hopefully get them to see reason.

Ruby: We're on it! Let's go Huntresses!

Ozpin: Mister Uzumaki and Lady Hyuuga please stay. The rest of you may go.

Naruto: What's up?

Ironwood: I'm deeply concerned about my old friend, Juumonji. He has been rather secretive and closed off lately and has been withholding information from me.

Hinata: You wish us to find out what he's been up to?

Ozpin: Yes. We need to be assured of his loyalty.

Naruto: Fine.

Watts: James, I thought you should know that Juumonji's loyalties may not be as strong as you thought.

Ironwood: Because you're jaded and arrogant Watts. Juumonji and I have been brothers since our enlistment to the military. But he must be found and share what he knows to us.

Naruto: Okay, we'll see what we can do.

Ozpin: Good. You are dismissed. Old friend, we need to continue speaking about the Otsutsuki clan.

Hinata: Any leads we can start?

Naruto: I'd start in the squatter areas. That's where the Happy Huntresses are often give away food to poor people.

Hinata: Been there before?

Naruto: Once or twice but didn't discover much.

Hinata: Then let's go there.

The two left Atlas and went to catch up with the others via Bullhead on the way to Mantle. They separated from their respective teams and went to the squatter areas.

Hinata: These ruined buildings must be where the people are getting their supplies.

They managed to sweet talk their way past the guard and went inside to see a sheep Faunus and a tall woman handing out supplies.

Fiona Thyme: Here you go. I hope this helps. (gives food to Mantle citizen and then she sees Naruto and Hinata) Welcome. Doesn't matter that you're from Atlas. We serve all sides and- wait you're Naruto Uzumaki. I'm Fiona and this is Joanna.
