Chapter 12: The Enemy of my Enemy

Salem walked and walked and only rested when her feet ached too much. She managed to ask around the location of Beacon and finally found it.

She found Goodwitch and correctly assumed her to be a woman of authority.

Salem: Excuse me, can I speak to Ozpin?

Glynda: How is it that you know his name?

Salem: Let's just say that we...know each other from long ago. I'm sure he'll recognize me.

Glynda: So be it. But I'll go with you.

The two women entered the Headmaster's office where Goodwitch coughed to get Ozpin's attention from his laptop.

Glynda: Sir, this woman asked to see you, claiming she knows you.

Ozpin: Who are you?

Salem: I believe you recognize me, Ozma.

Ozpin: Salem?

Glynda: You two know each other?

Ozpin: Seems there's no point in hiding it now. (explains his history with Salem to Goodwitch)

Glynda: I must say I have a hard time processing it all. You being an immortal wizard and her your wife and immortality and everything. Are you going to tell this to James and Qrow?

Ozpin: When the time comes. IF it comes. So Salem, how is it you are here and not in your fortress somewhere from nowhere?

Salem: Two otherworldly people attacked me and you will be surprised to hear this but they made me mortal again. Now I'm human like all of you. (Ozpin and Goodwitch's eyes went wide at this) They bested what's left of my Inner Circle and forced me to flee.

Ozpin: Do you know what they look like?

Salem: Introduced themselves as Ōtsutsuki and claim that they're gods. They overpowered me and forced me to flee.

Ozpin: They have names?

Salem: Momoshiki and Kinshiki. One skinny and the other large. Both have pale skin and white eyes along with white robes.

Ozpin: I see. Do you know their powers?

Salem: Only but a taste but you can be assured there are more.

Ozpin: Whatever you can tell us can help and we'll need all the help we can get against these invaders.

Salem: An alliance at least. Never thought two bitter enemies would side against a common foe.

Ozpin: The enemy of my enemy is my friend indeed. Glynda, please set Salem up with a room and board. She is to be my guest until I can introduce her to my circle.

Glynda: Yes sir.

Salem: Ozpin, I never thought I'd say this in millennia but...it's good to see.

Ozpin: Likewise, Salem. (Ozpin watches Salem leave the office with Goodwitch)

Later in the auditorium, all of the students were gathered there were Ozpin made an announcement.

Ozpin: Everyone, this meeting is unprecedented. I'm here to introduce someone who has seek refuge from an unknown enemy. Salem.

Salem herself went forward and bowed.

Ozpin: The one thing you need to know is that we were...close from another time before all of this happened. She is to serve as your history teacher. Everyone give a round of applause.

*CLAPS*

Salem: Everyone, I wish to say that I am honored to be a part of this school and I shall do my best to accommodate your needs for history. Thank you.

Everyone went back to the dorms after Ozpin dismissed them.
