Dream placed the bag on the bed, carefully opening it.
"George..? Are you and the egg safe..?" He carefully lifted up the cloth, seeing the Naga coiled next to the egg.
"Hello love."

"Egg is safe..."
George looked up, nodding.
"It's cold, very cold.." he held his hands up, wanting Dream too pick him up.
"Can you change me back..?"

Dream nodded, carefully picking up the tiny and placing him on the bed.
"Here." He carefully did a magic circle- changing the brunette too normal.
"Careful now- the egg is still fragile."

George quickly coiled around the bag, picking the egg up from the bag.
"I will keep them warm.." he smiled, nuzzling it faintly.
"I will make sure of it."

Dream softly smiled, seeing George make himself comfortable in a few blankets.
"I'll go get ponk... alright..?" He patted George's tail.
"Be careful with it.. We need ponks opinion on the matter."

George frowned faintly, nodding.... He wanted to keep it- but he needed ponk to keep it safe.. it's health came first... instead of his own want.
"I'll keep it warm.." he hugged it, laying down slowly.
"I promise.."

.: Dream and ponk POV :.

Dream smiled, making his way out of the room... he enjoyed seeing George happy- but was he able to taking care of it..?

He didn't know... he hoped George could- he certainly didn't know how to keep a baby Naga safe...

Dream quickly looked around, trying too find ponk.
"Ponk??" He wandered, looking around.
"Ponk I really need your help- hello?!"

"Mhm."

Dream quickly jumped, looking up at the ceiling.
"Ponk!" He saw the Naga coiled in the support beams.
"Please come down! I need your help... it's important."

He was anxious... will ponk be okay..?

Ponk rubbed his eyes before carefully lowering himself down.
"What..?" He yawned, stretching his arms.
"I was napping.. this better be important for waking me."

Dream felt bad for waking ponk- but this was important.
"George found a Naga egg.." he sighed, rubbing the back of his head.
"I don't know what to do."

Ponks eyes widened.
"A Naga egg?! Did you take it from its parents?!" He quickly grew concerned, snapping faintly.... If they did- that Naga will hunt them down.

Dream slowly shook his head, his frown growing.
"They seemed to have been abandoned and all the other eggs but that one was smashed to pieces by falling rocks.." his ears flattened.
"The egg was cold.."

Ponks gaze softened... usually that meant the parent or parents had died.. if the egg was cold- that meant the parent hadn't return for days.. maybe weeks... so usually the died or abandoned it.
"Did George find them smashed..?" He softly spoke... oh..

Dream nodded, looking back.
"His tail glowed apparently and he found it before quickly trying to warm the egg.. and he hasn't let it go at all since then." He crossed his arms, softly smiling.
"I wanted to see if you can take care of it."

"There's nothing I can do now." Ponk shook his head, speaking immediately.
"This is George's responsibility." He spoke firmly, shaking his head again.

Dream quickly turned to ponk.. what the fuck was he on about.
"What do you mean you can't do anything?! Can't we give you the egg..?" He wasn't ready- not yet.

"No, George had found the egg and claimed it as his own- I can't do anything." Ponk shook his head, keeping a firm tone.
"Once a Naga finds an abandoned egg- if they claim it a few weeks after being born and practically abandoned.. that Naga will be there own."

Dream stared at ponk... he was confused.
"What..?" He cocked a brow.
"I need more context here ponk! I can't just know that!!"

"The warmth from George will radiate onto the egg.. and that egg will grow to be George's and your's egg." Ponk booped dream on the nose, humming softly... he thought it was cute.
"If you do it correctly that is... for Naga babies to change- it's a dangerous process for the baby and you if your around."

"What?? Why me?" Dream quickly grew worried.. was that a bad thing..?
"And shouldn't the egg be alright if I'm around..?"

"Unless George really trusts you, he will not let you near that egg- and George can get too stressed and break the egg if you get to close.." Ponk shrugged, humming softly.
"No one can go near it- not even me or Sam without him stressing... he may seem normal now but..." He shook his head.
"George will be very aggressive."

Dreams ears flattened down... that's not good.
"He let me hold it earlier.. or well near it when he showed me." He did not like the sound of this.
"I hope that proves something maybe..."

"Oh! That's good!" Ponk smiled, nodding.
"Make sure George has lots of blankets and food." He soon slithered towards his room.
"And find a comfy place to sleep if George doesn't let you near."

Dreams ears pinned down... what did this mean.. this was too much for the hybrid to handle.
"Okay.." he turned... I guess he's gonna see if George trusts him.

He was nervous... hopefully George trusted him near the egg- if not.. shit.

.: Dream and George POV :.

Dream carefully peaked his head in, seeing George coiled around the egg.
"George...?" He spoke softly, walking towards the brunette.
"Can I come near..?"

George perked up, smiling.
"What did ponk say...? Will he take care of it..?" He kept the egg warm, hugging it softly.

"Err... no." Dream anxiously walked over, sitting next to george.
"He said you had to take care of it..." he patted the nagas tail softly.. showing he meant no harm.

George nodded, looking down at the egg.
"I'll protect it... we will protect it." He nuzzled it, correcting himself carefully.

"So... I'm okay staying with you..?" Dream carefully laid down next to george.
"You won't stress out if I do...?" He smiled softly... George trusted him.

"No." George snuggled next to Dream.
"I trust you not to hurt it." He patted the egg softly.
"I trust you near me"

Dream carefully hugged George.
"I trust you too George." He nuzzled the brunette... he didn't want George accidentally hurting the egg... cause he knew George wouldn't live with himself if an incident like that were to happen... he'd never recover.

George was worried for the egg.
"What did ponk say exactly..?" He looked at Dream... he didn't know what he was doing.
"Why can't he help..?"

"He said that since you claimed it- you'll raise it as your own and to be mindful of you since you can get aggressive towards anyone- even me, sam or ponk." Dream kept George close, running his fingers through the nagas hair.

"I don't wanna be alone doing this.." George's gaze softened, nuzzling the egg carefully.
"I want to be here with someone..." he leaned into Dream.

"Don't worry George.. I'll be with you the entire way- I promise you." Dream yawned, getting himself comfortable.
"I'll be here when you need me, and I'll leave you alone when you need it."

George smiled, snuggling back... he was glad Dream understood him.
"I love you dream.." he mumbled.

"I love you too... but please for gods sake let me sleep now." Dream yawned, resting himself on the pillows.
"I'm so tired and this is too much for me right now..." he gripped his head.

George nodded, holding the egg carefully.
"I'll stay quiet.. you get some rest." He looked up at the tv.
"I'll watch tv whilst you sleep."

"Alright... goodnight George..." Dream quickly drifted to sleep within moments... he was exhausted.
"I.. love you."

George kept quiet, smiling.
"I love you dream... and you too egg." He patted the egg before getting comfortable.... He will make sure the egg is safe... by all means.
"Goodnight."
