Waking up in an unfamiliar place once again, Bakugou swiftly moved his tail to move towards his current belongings. After a few long days with the deep sea mer, Bakugou has come to expect her wandering around, hunting whatever ridiculous amount of fish she can find.
Turns out, due to most deep sea dwellers being rather large in size, a deep sea mer such as Y/n has an annoyingly picky diet, and oddly large appetite compared to coral mers.
Although seeing the satchel that the female never seems to leave alone for too long - even in her sleep - floating around without its owner in the other cavern was a pretty decent give away that something was up.
With that, Bakugou was off in search of said female, considering she was the most familiar with the deeper ends of the ocean.
'Not in any nearby caves or reefs. She left food at the cave so she's probably not hunting. Where the heck did that idiot go?'
Whoosh
Catching a trail of bubbles from the corner of his eye, Bakugou swiftly began his chase for the dim blur of f/c light going up.
With a light splash, Bakugou's head broke through the surface of the water, sunrise casting rays of light over his hair, and highlighting the two figures currently in front of him.
One quick push from his tail put Bakugou right in front of the two females. One familiar, the other holding an entirely foreign appearance.
Sitting on a rock slightly above water, Y/n sat perfectly still, eyes devoid of any sense of thought or emotion. To her right, on a slightly higher rock, another female eating some type of fish.
Confusion was evident as Bakugou stared at the two compared to each other, their contrasting appearances being the first thing someone would notice if they saw the two side by side.
The new female had short purple hair. Her tail resembled that of a coral mer in terms of design, fins appearing silk like, though certainly much more delicate than most. The colors spread out differently, with a lack of protective scales at the base of the fins - usually resulting in the faded tint of most fins such as his own. A dorsal fin that appeared to have no scales at all, only silk-like skin to push it through the water. Her upper half seemed more human than those of most mers, the lack of claws, sharp teeth, and scales across her upper body making it easy to mistaken her for a person if the tail weren't merged with it.
This stark contrast to, basically, all other types of mers, made her seem almost 'delicate.' Especially when placed next to one of the more rough looking types of mers such as a trench mer.
"What in the world is going on here??"

Sorry for the pretty disappointing chapter. I've been getting a little busy and haven't really been getting any ideas. I am actually willing to hear out ideas from people who would like to ask. This is a xreader story so it only makes sense that some people have a say in what could happen next. If you would like to try it out you can either message me privately or comment on this chapter. I'm open to all ideas but nothing inappropriate will be accepted. And please don't feel upset if I don't use your idea, it could be amazing but I'm trying to make things fit well in my story.
