If We're Being Honest

He grunts and sounds like he falls causing us to stumble out of the fort. A bright purple mask is formed around his eyes and he's struggling to fight back.

"Nino!" Alya screams, trying to run at him but I grab her arm to stop her just as he's overtaken. He looks no different but he feels tense so I know he's akumatized.

This chapter is in Marinettes POV

"I'm gonna find out the truth, ladies. Stay here. This is between Adrien and I, I don't want you dudes in the crossfire." The villain in front of me sternly states. This akuma is strange, Ninos appearance hasn't changed but he's different. I wonder what his powers are.

"Nino, please! I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding!" Alya pleads.

"And what if it's not? What if he really did that to Marinette? What if he's not the good guy we think he is? What if it's all a lie?" He yells back.

"There's no way-"

"Enough, Alya. I am the Deceptor, I'll find out myself. Don't leave this room for me or the Ladyblog."

"But!" She jumps up, trying to grab him but he quickly moves out of her reach.

"I am the ruler of this castle, this room has no exit, only entrance."

"What?" She says confused.

Immediately, the room darkens and shakes. Metal cover the windows, the trapdoors seal shut like they're barely there, never to be opened by our side. We're completely trapped.

"Oh my god!" I yell. "Nino! Wait! Don't do this, you can fight this!"

"The only thing I will fight is Adrien Agreste and anyone that gets in my way." He glares.

A threat and a promise. I know if we try to stop him like this, we'll lose. We have to let him go, there's no other way. He kisses Alyas temple gently and apologizes then turns to face us again.

"I'm a teleporter." A flash of light engulfs him and he disappears.

"Oh my god! What do we do!" Alya runs to the doors and pushes on them- no budge. She checks the windows to find intricate metal weaving to stop us from getting anything but air in and out.

I glance at Tikkis hiding spot and then the trunk where the Miracle Box hides. I have no other choice but to tell Alya and get out of here.

"Alya?" I ask, watching her panic and pace around the room rambling about being trapped.

"Alya." I call again to no avail.

"Alya!" I snap her out of her daze. She looks at me shocked.

"What are we gonna do?" She runs over to me, helping me off the floor to stand.

"Sit." I gesture to my long chaise.

"Sit? Sit! Right now?" She asks, clearly confused.

"Sit and listen." I force her to sit with me on the chaise and then cover her mouth as she goes to speak. "And! Don't speak until I'm completely done explaining! Please!"

She rolls her eyes and nods her head. "Fine, fine."

I get up and drag my trunk out in front of our legs. "One more thing? Swear to upmost and complete secrecy? And don't freak out?"

"That's two things but yes, I swear."

We flick out our pinkies and crosses them with a giggle. "To start, I want to say I'm sorry. I haven't been completely honest with you."
