Chapter 37

When Josie woke up the next morning the bed was empty. She was used to this on a weekday, Hope started classes earlier than her so this meant she had to take the twins to daycare alone before heading off to her classes which started at eleven.

The brunette pulled the covers off of her body and let out a big yawn before making her way to the bathroom that was in their room. When she got in she started her morning routine which was taking a quick shower and brushing her teeth.

Once Josie was done she made her way to the twin's room where she already saw the babies awake and standing in their cribs.

"Momma!" Lucas said holding up his arms. Josie smiled before picking the boy up.

"Good morning sweet boy" she kissed his cheek causing him to let out a big smile.

Andrea let out a crying noise and Josie walked over to her and picked her up with her free arm "I didn't forget about you" she smiled and kissed her daughters cheek.

This action seemed to make Lucas mad, the two-year-old pushed his sister's face away from Josie and hit her arm. Andrea started crying and the brunette tried to calm her down.

"Lucas! you do not hit your sister!" Josie said and the boy also started to cry.

The brunette looked between her two crying toddlers and let out a big sigh.

After that rough little start to her morning, Josie managed to get both babies fed, cleaned up, and changed before she took them to their daycare. Where she practically had to pry them off her legs.

When she finally made it to school she walked into her first class (a little late) and took a seat in the back with her friend Jade whom she met on her very first day.

"What did I miss?" the brunette said a little out of breath from running across campus.

"So basically..."

Josie was in her last class of the day when she got a message from Hope.

I got out of classes early I'm picking the twins up, also I got a surprise for you when you get home 😉

What kind of surprise? 👀

Josie just rolled her eyes at her girlfriend's use of emojis before going back to copying down her notes on the human heart.

"Do you want to go get coffee or something?" Jade asks checking the time on her watch "I have a few hours to spare before I have to go home and study.

Josie thought for a moment "yeah sure! let me just text my girlfriend" the brunette said before taking out her phone and sending a quick text to Hope.

The two made their way across the street to the Starbucks and ordered their drinks before sitting down.

"I'm going to be a terrible doctor, I don't even know what that is called" Jade pointed to the heart.

The brunette looked at the picture "that's the inferior vena cava" she chuckled "and we're in med school you're still learning."

"Yeah easy for you to say you could name the venca cavern" Jade rolled her eyes.

"Vena Cava" Josie corrected.

The blonde shot her a glare before taking a sip of her coffee and looking back at her book as she tried to recall every vessel on it.

Josie was scrolling through her phone when it rang and Hope's contact name came up. She immediately answered.

"Hey baby" the brunette smiled to herself and Jade started making kissy faces.

Josie shot the blonde the middle finger.

"Is this Josette Salvatore?" a man's voice she didn't recognize came over the phone.

"Who's this?" she says confused, pulling the phone back and looking at the contact name making sure she saw who she answered correctly.

"I'm Doctor Benson, there's been an accident."

I know y'all are probably like wtf but can we talk about how Josie is literally super mom 😍
