He might grate on your nerves in the beginning, but do give him a chance, there's more to him than his menacing exterior. Izara has had her fair share of challenges, but she has never once let her circumstances hold her down. She's full of life and definitely isn't afraid to tell things as she sees it. I am loving this story. The pace is allowing us to get to know the characters, their family dynamics, their communities. All the basic things that contribute to who the characters are and how they can help each other towards life goals and the possibility of healing old wounds. When I first started this book, I expected it to be a typical enemies to lovers, romance with some fantasy. This book has been so much more than that!! I was blown away because the plot was plotting, the fantasy and romance held equal weight, and the found family was beautiful.
