The leaves rustled behind me as I lay deep in the foliage of leaves. My hair caught in brambles, my face and hands stinging with cuts and scratches while the moon shines like a sacred beacon above me. My body trembles slightly as my brain tries to figure out the recent events. All I can remember is falling through the air, a scream so terrible as sparks of burning ash fly around me, my friend falling near me, her grip on my hand loosening. Why was I falling through the air? It was day, it was cold, but that's all my brain can remember. I can't remember the landing or anything before my fall, it's as if all of my memories have been removed except the one I am keen to expand on.

The leaves rustle again. Movement. There's a snap of a twig and a whispered: "Harriet!"

The voice rings a bell at the back of my mind, something recognises it, and something else recognises what it's saying.

"Harriet!" It calls again. "Harriet, are you alright?" There's more rustling and then footsteps reach my ears. Close. Extremely close.

"Harriet- AGHHHRR!" There's a slight scream and something heavy falls onto my stomach.

"Harriet!" The voice says again. "Haaarrriieeeeetttt! I've found you!"

There's a slight groaning and a shuffling as the weight removes itself from me.

"Get up! Oh come on Harriet, we all fell from that plane, no need to milk it!" A hand scrapes through the leaves and I grab for it. The hand pulls me up and I'm now leaning against a trunk.

I blink slightly at the figure. I recognise her.

"Jazz!" I cry, slightly more loudly than I intended.

"Yes it's me, oh my god why weren't you answering me?"

"What do you mean I- We fell from a plane?" My brain isn't working properly. Fell from a plane?

"Yes, stupid! Literally a couple hours ago, remember? The whole back end set on fire and exploded! We were flung into the air and we flew like pterodactyls! I held your hand but I let go and I fell further away from you. We all fell into this one pond and that's how we survived! You ran off and I was just searching for you!" She stops slightly to catch her breath.

"You can't tell me you don't remember? It's the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me!"

She pulls my hand again and I'm forced up. She starts to spin twirling me along, it makes my head ache.

"Stop please, I can't remember anything!" She finishes her twirl and comes to a sudden halt, wobbling a bit at the abrupt pause.

"Did you hit your head?" She asks.

"What? I don't know!" More memories do come to me though, the explanation brought back to me falling and plunging deep into water, my vision grey and clouded. But I can't remember anything after that.

"I think I should take you back to camp! Well, we set up a camp, luckily Andrew knew how to start a fire from one of his books and Luna knew how to make a shelter with logs! Everyone's phone got broken in the water apart from mine! It's useless though because data doesn't work on my phone and we have no connection here! Yours might work, oh, but your mum didn't let you bring it! Shame, you better tell her that you MUST bring it next time in case we fall into a jungle again!"

She's talking extremely quickly, holding my hand and leading me through the trees with ease.

"We were all so worried about you! I was about to give up for the night!" She picks up her pace and starts to trek through the foliage even faster.

"Wait!" I say slightly out of breath.

"What?" She asks slightly annoyed.

"Did everyone survive?"
