The day is finally here, It's the day of the dance I'm nervous but also excited and yes I'm still going with Eli, I just couldn't hurt his feelings right now, but for me this is just as friends. The one person I want to go with is going with someone else, Someone whose way prettier than me anyways. I decided to hang out in my room and decide what I was gonna wear tonight until I heard someone knock at my door.

"come in" I said and when they walked in, I was surprised at who it was.

"hey" Simon said, I was a little happy when I saw him walk in, we haven't seen much of each other in the last two weeks which is surprising. I mean I know why we haven't, He's with Talia and their happy from what I see at school and when she comes here. 

"hey" I said gesturing for him to come over here as he did exactly that.

"what's going on with you" He asks as he sat next to me on my bed. 

"not much just trying to figure out what to wear for tonight" I told him 

"oh shit I forgot that dance is tonight" Simon gasped while slapping his face, as I sat there laughing. "it's not funny Talia is gonna kill me" Simon said which then ruined the mood and I got up from my bed and went to my closet.

"yeah, you better go do, .before anything bad happens" I said trying not to show I was jealous.

"you okay" Simon asked as I turned around to answer him.

"yeah, just a little nervous about tonight" I replied.

"and why would that be" He asked as he got up and walked over to me

"um.. I" I tried to speak but for some reason I just kept stuttering every word.

"are you nervous to be going with Eli" Simon asked as he walked a little closer to me.

"wh.. what of course not, It's not even a real date" I blurted out realizing what I just said and Simon just smiled not saying a word.

"oh, so you don't like him" Simon asked backing me into the wall, putting his hand on the wall.

"um... no" I said as I finally gave into what my heart wanted to say.

"so then is there someone you like" Simon asked as he placed his other hand on my waist and started leaning down. Just as we were about to kiss Allison and Kayli barged in and Simon moved away quickly from me.

"oh um we're sorry, we didn't realize she has company" Allison stated.

"oh um no he was just leaving, right" I turn to Simon and ask as he nodded and walked out the room. I turned my focus back to the girl as they were just grinning at me.

"stop, let's get ready" I said as we spent the next couple hours getting ready for the boys to arrive.

(Simon's POV)

The boys and I were getting ready for the dance even thought none of us want to go, I mean I kind of do only for one reason.

"yo Si, come on get your jacket on we're about to leave" Ethan said, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Talia is one lucky gal" JJ stated as everyone laughed.

"nah bro I don't know what she thinks but we aren't serious" I said as I playfully punched JJ's shoulder.

"oh and why would that be" Harry chimed in as I looked at him confused.

"I just feel we don't connect" I stated as they all look at me weirdly. "what" I asked them confused.

"since when does Simon Minter care about connections" Vik asked
