Fifty-five

It's the week of graduation and every senior is super excited. I was out front waiting for Allison and Kayli to show up when Eli walked up.

"hey Lex" Eli said as he made his way to me.

"oh hey Eli" I said crossing my arms.

"how you been the last couple weeks"  Eli asked but I really was hoping Allison or Kayli would show up because I just didn't wanna talk to Eli at the moment.

"um good" I quietly said just then someone wrapped their arm around my waist and I looked up to see Simon, I just couldn't help myself but smile.

"sorry to interrupt but I need to borrow Lexy" Simon said and pulled me away. 

"thanks" I said as we were walking away and I saw a smile appear on his lips then we entered school. We walked to my locker and as we arrived Simon leaned against them. 

"okay so you and I are you on a date tomorrow night okay" Simon said and I couldn't help but blush.

"okay so we are we going" I asked as I shut my locker.

"well let's just say it's a surprise" Simon stated as he held my hand and walked me to class. As we reached the door, Simon spun me around and gave me a hug.

"I'll see you later Love" Simon said as we then kissed my forehead and I walked into class to see the girls already here.

(after school)

The girls and I decided to head to the mall after school for some shopping and girl time.

"okay so did he say where exactly he was taking you" Kayli asked as we walked into a shop.

"no he said it was a surprise" I replied.

"well this is exciting" Kayli said ruffling through the clothes while Allison just stood silent.

"what's up Alli" I asked as she didn't reply. "what's your problem" I asked again.

"nothing" She said so bluntly, so I knew she was lying.

"no what's up, Allison I know something wrong" I said moving closer.

"let's not talking about it here" Allison stated as she walked out the store, so Kayli and I followed. We made it out and back to the car, as were sitting there waiting for Allison to start the car, she sets the keys down and looks at us.

"Lexy I can't be around you if all you're gonna talk about is Simon" Allison blurted out and Kayli and I were taken back for a moment. "can't you see this "Date" is a way for him to say goodbye, he's graduating in a couple days then leaving" Allison continued.

"Allison what the hell" Kayli yelled out. "are you seriously gonna do this again" Kayli asked loudly.

"I'm not gonna sit here and listen to her get her hopes up and act like he didn't tell you he was leaving after graduation" Allison stated as she turned her attention back to me. "you need to wake up and realize it Lexy" Allison finished as she turned back around and started the car. On the way back to my house it was silent, no one said a word, we didn't play the radio, it was just this awkward tension that no one knew how to break.

We finally arrived at my house, as Allison put the car in park I waved bye to Kayli and hopped out. When I shut the door Allison sped off so fast that she almost ran my foot over. I open my front door to find all the boys in the living room playing Xbox,  as I closed the door all the boys turned their attention towards me. 

"um hi" I said looking at all of them, laying my eyes on Simon. 

"where have you been" Josh asked standing up and walking towards me.

"was at the mall with the girls" I said 

"are you good" Joshed asked and I thought saying yes was gonna be easy like I've always been able to do but in this moment I just stared at Josh and just wrapped my arm around him tight. "Lex.." Josh said but I couldn't say anything, finally I just let the tears roll down my face.

"Josh I don't wanna be alone" I stated and even though I could see their faces I could imagine their looks, confused, worried, concerned. Josh pulled away and took me upstairs as I looked back I could see the look on Simon's face, It almost looked heartbroken.

Josh and I made it to my room as we sat on my bed. 

"Lexy what's going on" Josh asked me.

"I guess I'm just scared.... scared everyone's gonna leave me behind" I stated looking down.

"Lexy who's gonna leave you" Josh I asked

"nothing.. just please leave" I instantly just shut down as Josh had a confused look on his face "please just get out" I yelled a Josh just nodded and walked out.

(Simon's POV)

The boys and I were in the living room goofing off, Playing Xbox when all of a sudden we heard the door shut and turned around. That's when I saw Lexy just standing there like everything was about to fall apart, then Josh stood up and made his way to her.

"Lex.. you okay" Josh asked her and we waited for a response when she just dropped into Josh and started crying, I was confused because she was just so happy earlier. 

"I don't wanna be alone Josh" I  heard Lexy say and it just felt like someone punched my heart. I watched as Josh took her upstairs and I just didn't know what to do.

"I wonder what that was about" JJ stated as my attention turned back to them.

"I feel bad, she looked hurt" Tobi said 

"guys really are you that stupid" Vikk said focused on the game as we all looked at him confused. 

"what do you mean Vikk" I asked when Vikk put the controller down, stood up and faced us.

"have you guys not noticed especially you Simon, We are all graduating in a few days, you told us she knew we were leaving" Vikk started as we all sat there listening. "she thinks we're leaving her for good, she thinks your leaving her Simon" Vikk stated.

"I mean I told her but she didn't seem hurt and she was full of light this morning" I said still confused.

"something had to of happened bro... or maybe she was just hiding her true feelings" Ethan added in.

"well all I',m saying is she's hurt by you leaving, you need to talk to her Simon" Vikk said so I stood up and made my way up the stairs to see Josh exiting.

"what's up" I asked as he just looked hurt.

"I don't know mate, she won't talk now" Josh said as he walked down the stairs.  stood outside her door for a few minutes before opening her door.
