The wind is quiet today and I can hear the rustling of the leaves as Stephen walks towards me. "Hey" I say.

"Hey, Aunt Izzy wants us in for dinner" he says.

I sigh, "Alright, if we have to."

"I know you like it out here but if someone sees you..."

"I know," I say as I morph into a small grey rabbit. Stephen smiles and picks me up, taking us home.

When we arrive at the house, he sets me down just out of sight of the old log cabin we call home. I return to my normal state of a quiet, blonde, 16 year old girl and we walk to the house.

"Hey guys, dinner is on the counter" Aunt Izzy says as we walk inside. She resembles my mother with raven hair and blue eyes, where as I resemble more of my father with dirty blond hair and hazel eyes. I wish I looked like her, I thought, maybe then I wouldn't stand out so much.

We eat our dinner on the couch and watch the news on the TV. "News report: a farm house is burnt to the ground when two students from the local highschool..." I tune out the rest of the report because this is the only recent 'tragedy' that has happened in our small town in years.

Stephen cleans up the dinner mess and goes into his room to play whatever online video game he is interested in this week.

"Are you ready for your first day as a sophomore tomorrow?" Aunt Isabelle asks, "I heard that the new family that moved in down the street has a boy your age..."

Aunt Izzy is always trying to play 'Matchmaker' with me because she says I need to do more 'socializing' instead of reading books. What if I like books more than boys? I think to myself, What if I don't like people? "I can't wait" I lie and flash a fake smile, "this year is going to be great!"

That makes her smile, but I can see the doubt in her eyes. I really hate hurting her like this, but if she knew about me and my powers... That wouldn't end well.
