I blew through first period. I kept my mind of things by actually paying attention in class. Which I don't do that often, so when my English teacher asked me a question and I actually answered correctly... His face was priceless.
Kayeden couldn't talk to me in 2nd because we were taking a math test, but she would have probably tried to talk about Blake. I didn't want that to happen.
Third went by very quickly then my day started to slow. Fourth took forever, mostly because I hate Geography.
I had fifth period before lunch. When I walked in, I read the board that said 'new seating chart.' Just Great, I think. I loved my seat in that class, at the back where no one bothered me.
Then the worst of my fears came true. We found our seats and I was in the middle of the classroom, right next to- you guessed it- Blake.
OF ALL PEOPLE WHY HIM! I have to ask to mov- just then was when my teacher decided to say, "Okay class, these are the seats you will have for the rest of the semester, and you have notes on section..." I tuned her out, not really focusing on anything other than I have to sit next to him all semester.
I decided to glance around when I notice he is watching me. Our eyes clash for a moment and he winks at me. I turn away in disgust. I need to get out of here! I grip the desk trying not to lose my calm or else I could risk showing my 'powers.'
Apparently Blake senses my panic and whispers, "Calm down, you can't make a scene... Draw or read or whatever you like to do to calm yourself down.." Others glance at him, but they don't really understand what he is saying, for he is talking so quietly that my sharp hearing barely picked up on it...
I reluctantly take his advice and open my notebook and start doodling on the back page, mostly focusing on slowing my breathing. Why is he so helpful when all I want to do is hate him?!? I sigh softly, mentally willing my heartbeat going back to normal.
I don't usually have panic attacks, but when I've had them before I usually just sit there trying to calm down for the entire period (and failing terribly, which results in multiple people asking me what's wrong while I focus on other things) then go to the office and fake sickness to go home. My very first attack was when I found my... Abilities.
I was with Stephen and he was playing outside, running around and a van passed by. The van had a bunch of stuck-up guys from school in it and they were swerving on the road, apparently drunk. I freaked out and ran toward Stephen. I tripped and landed on my hands and knees when I 'transformed' into a wolf and grabbed Stephen's shirt in my jaws and threw him onto my back, sprinting away from the unpredictable vehicle.
It all happened within a matter of seconds, I saved Stephen who was directly in the path of the drunk boys- who obviously didn't see me just turn into a wolf- and they must've finally notice they were off the road and slammed on the brakes just in time to avoid a cluster of trees.
I've been different ever since that day, I shut all of my friends out and lied to my aunt about a bully. She finally agreed to move to a much smaller town in an even more secluded area. It was a paradise for people who wanted to be alone... Other than the fact I was still forced to go to school.
*Sigh* Well, I guess you can't have everything...
I finally calmed myself down completely and glanced at Blake who still was staring at me with a slight...wait, was he seriously worried about me? No, I must've just imagined it because the look was gone as soon as it came... I glared at him, but subtly nodded my head in gratitude.
This concluded with him smirking and winking again... Ugh, boys are so unbelievable sometimes...
My day was okay after that. I went and ate what people here call 'food', and hoped that I wouldn't have to taste it again later. Sixth and Seventh were my favorite periods, Art and Science. So I enjoyed those and did my best to not think of anything that has happed recently when that little ass--- crap, I did it again didn't I? Whatever, I'm just glad this day is over with

I got on the bus and silently waited for Kayeden. Blake came on the bus and gave me a quick look but I guess he decided to leave me alone for once because he sat a few rows up in his usual seat.Kayeden finally got there just as the busses were going to leave and plopped down next to me, panting lightly.
"What took you so long, you nearly missed the bus..." I ask her, giving her a chance to catch her breath.
"I had yo talk to my science teacher because she is trying to fail me for missing the first notebook check."
"Harsh," was all I said in response to that. Thankfully she didn't speak of such else during the bus ride.
The bus stopped by the elementary school and Stephen got on, and sat in the seat in front of us that I saved for him. I didn't really have to save it though... Not many people ride this bus, and the ones who do usually sit up front or in the very back.
The rest of the bus ride was pretty uneventful, other than the slight chatter throughout the bus about the fair that's coming yo town soon. I'm not going so it didn't matter to me, although Stephen was a little bummed. Sucks to be poor don't it? I like the way we live though because we value what we have and know better than to want more.
Anyway, the bus finally got to our stop and Balke actually waited for me and Stephen to get off the bus first.. Geez I really want to hate him.
We helped Aunt Izzy with the chores and did our homework before making our way outside. I was headed to my usual spot when I heard something rustle the bushes to my right....
