Unexpected

Chapter 9

Okay guys, bear with me here, I've heard that some of the parts in this story are a little confusing, so I'm going to switch to 2nd person from Emily's P.O.V. so it's kinda like you are involved in the story. :3

Okay, so I realized that after everything that has happened to me recently, I still have not introduced myself to you. Yes you, I know whoever you are, you are a person. I know you're on your phone or computer reading stories and fanfiction. Trust me, the loner I am, I have a lot of time on my hands.

Aaaaanyway, I just wanted to say Hello. How are you? Are you okay? I hope you are. I'm Heronstairs, Emily Heronstairs. I am a person, just like you... However, I'm a little...let's just say special-and not 'special-ed' so stop that thought right now.

I am a young teenage girl at the age of 16. I'm a very awkward antisocial booknerd who is taller than your average girl. I've estimated myself out to be about 5'11 with blonde hair and blue eyes. I know what you are thinking, typical girl in any story.

Well, I'm not. I wouldn't consider myself attractive in the least. I'm the nerd who sits in the back of the class (usually anyway) who really doesn't talk much. I have average grades, buy I'm way below perfect in anything.
I love to draw and... Sing a little, but I usually stay quiet and ignore the world.

I have a little brother Stephen whom I love so much. He is in the 6th grade and nearly the exact opposite of me, with many friends and loves people. He is the best little brother a girl could ever have... That may be a little bias coming from me though.

I have a best friend... and kind of only friend, named Kayeden. We've been best friends since I moved here back in late 7th grade year. She knows a lot about me and I know even more about her. She is very outgoing and loves to socialize. She is kind of like that 'cool girl' who can even make being nerdy look good. She is a little shorter than me, but not by much, and she has long blonde hair like mine, but less frizzy. All in all, she is a lot different than me but still my absolute best friend.

Okay, okay I will finally tell you about how I'm 'special.' I have, well, I call them powers, but I don't think that's really correct. I can... Change. Like, from animal to animal. I can turn into a frog or a bunny or even a bird. It's pretty cool if I do say so myself. But I've never known about anyone who is anything like me... Until that new kid Blake came along.

I have to admit he is pretty attractive, but I don't want him to know I think that. I mean, teasing is half the fun! But, as much as I want to hate him... At least now I know that I'm not the only one like this. I am not a complete mutant freak who is alone with her thoughts. Well, I am, but at least I'm not alone.

Well anyway, thanks for joining my adventure that, by the looks of it, has only just begun.
