Tuesday Morning

It's been a couple days since your abduction at the market, and unfortunately the headaches are still very frequent. Even though Mei and Mk visit every day, while Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy visit when they can, there's still no sign of your favorite mystic monkey. Maybe you said something in your half conscious state that offended him that caused him to stay away.

You've tried so hard to remember what you said to him while you two were flying through the sky together, it's all sorts of painful honestly. Not to even mention you had that dream again. It's only been a few weeks, almost a month since you had your last dream, so why were you having another nightmare so soon? Especially in so much more detail than last time. The one thing that you're really concerned about is how you called for Wukong at the end of it. Normally, that would happen in dreams and or nightmares because he's one of the people you feel like you can run to when things go wrong, but this dream is an extension of you. So unless he randomly popped up in your dream just because you thought of him while you were shoved into that dumb hole; he's always been in your dream, but you've never gotten around to actually seeing him?

Maybe you're diving too much into it. It's a recurring nightmare and the blobs of the people around you as well as your voice are the only new things added this time. There were more little details this time, you were aware of what you were thinking and how you were thinking it, not to mention the change in the colors of the leaves. And, it wasn't just one person following behind you, it was two.

A knock at the door catches your attention as you lay up from bed. "It's open," your voice is hoarse and dry, a typical morning voice of yours, "come in."

"(Y/N)," Pigsy clears his throat and opens the door, "how are you feeling this morning?"

"Tired," you tease while leaning against the bed dramatically, "so very, very tired."

Pigsy rolls his eyes and smiles, holding a bowl of noodles out to you, "Don't tell Tang."

A smile props up onto your lips as you laugh a little from his comment, "I promise." You hold the bowl in your hands and pick up the fork, beginning to chow down on the food. The warmth of the noodles feels nice against the skin of your hold hands. Despite being underneath the blanket all night, you woke up irreversibly cold. That's how it is with you.

"Let me know what you think later," your boss rubs the back of his neck sheepishly, "I added less spices because I know concussions can sometimes react to what you eat or do."

You smile and nod while slurping down another bite of the noodles. The nice warmth of the noodle broth going down your throat reawakens your voice. "I will," you swallow, "thank you Pigsy."

"Anything for family," Pigsy gives you a firm nod before walking out of the room, shutting the door behind him gently.

Family. That word alone means so much to you. It brings warmth into your chest as you sit there. Yeah sure, the noodles are warm but the feeling of the warmth itself is your favorite.

Small tapping against the window draws your attention towards the glass. There you see none other than Sun Wukong sitting outside, waiting for you to beckon him in. His tail sways behind him as he anxiously awaits your signal.

A small laugh makes it past your lips and you finally wave him in, mouthing, "It's unlocked, or it should be anyways."

With your signal, Wukong lifts open the window carefully and makes his way inside the room with a basket full of not only peach smelling treats but rasberry treats as well. He walks over and sets the basket down on the drawer beside your bed. "How are you feeling?" Wukong rests one of his hands on your head while putting the other against his, "Better I hope." Little does he know his visit alone makes you feel almost a hundred times better.
