Late Friday Afternoon

An exasperated sigh escapes your mouth as you set the laundry basket down. "Mk!" You poke your head out the door and peer down the stairs before shouting, "Are you almost done with the dishes!"

"Mhm!" Mk's head appears around the wall at the bottom of the stairs, "How's the laundry going?"

"I just finished the last load. Both washed and dried and hung in both of our closets." Your back hits the frame of the door as you lean against it. "I also cleaned our mess of a room."

A smile creeps onto Mk's face as he pulls an excited fist back, "Yes! Thank you, (Y/N)!"

"Although," you start in such a tone that makes Mk's smile waver, "since I've cleaned our room the last couple of weeks now, I do believe someone's due to start taking his turns."

"(Y/N)," he whines hout, pressing his cheek against the wall, "I don't wanna clean our room. Your things are so hard to place back where they werreee.."

"I'm not only your roommate but your friend, and on top of that, we've been roommates for how long now?" You cross your arms defensively while eyeing him down. "It's about time you learn where everything is."

Your roommate only whines more as his head droops down while he mumbles out a, "Yes ma'am," before disappearing back into the kitchen. The sound of the sink starting back up lets you know he's still working.

Even though you feel sort of bad about pushing him to clean, you know he has to because 90% of the messes in your room are always his things. And besides, it's not like you want to continue to clean up after him. What will he do if you end up leaving? Will his room just evaporate into nothing but dirty clothes? You sure hope not because the next one in line to clean would be your boss and you know Pigsy would not stand for the smell.

Speaking of your boss, he and Tang are downtown going on a date. Those two did their best to try and convince you and Mk that it wasn't a date but merely two friends just "hanging out" but you didn't buy that crap. You're both adults who understand adult things, for the most part anyways. Andddd you and Mk have a continuous bet going that you don't plan on losing.

As you shut the door behind you to get back to work, a pecking on the window catches your attention. Relentlessly, you stop your hand from putting your earbud back in and head to the window. You slide it open and look around to find no one there. Although the smell of peaches still lingers on the flower patch in front of the window.

"Peaches!" A familiar voice calls out from behind you, "Hi!"

You turn your head around and spot Sun Wukong standing behind you with peach baked goods in hand. A smile forms on your mouth as you sniff the air. While you're surprised he's here, you figured it was him by the smell of peaches. Mk doesn't eat them and no one else bakes besides you, leaving your monkey friend here the only one who could leave such a scent.

"My name's not peaches," you remind him as you reach inside the bag he holds in front of him and find a small piece of a peach galette in a small bag for you, "but Hi Wukong. What brings you here other than relievering peach goods to those in need of a break?" Truth be told, you're really happy to see him. It's been awhile since you two have met up. The last time you did, was mostly random. It was while you were out apartment hunting, and you couldn't catch a ride to your next location because you left your bike, not knowing it was going to be a longer walk up the mountain. Which, in your defense, was completely on you, but when Wukong dive bombed you as a bird, the loudest scream imaginable escaped from your mouth as you were lifted into the air out of nowhere. It was alarming to say the least. You're happy this time there was at least a hint he was visiting.
