AMANI DIDN'T WANT TO FIGHT AGAIN. Especially not with Clarisse shouting orders in his ears, but unfortunately it didn't matter since he was on border Patrol along with every other person who had been staying at Camp. (And happened to have decent fighting skills.)  Amani sighed as he watched another bull roar in front of him as it scampered away only to be sliced from the back by Val. Sparks glittered just barely in the sunlight before it collapsed.

That was one done. Only like three more. (Yay.)

Val grinned, his battle axe in his hands, stained with gold. "I still can't believe, out of all the weapons, you chose a damn battle axe." Amani muttered while Val laughed. "I can't believe I never chose this baby any sooner!" He said before rushing to the next unsuspecting bull.

Amani didn't get a second to rest before he heard,  "border patrol to me!" Clarisse screamed. He gave a groan as he walked towards her. Amani frowned, things weren't looking good: The area was surrounded with fire, campers were panicking, and half of Clarisse's golden armor was charred.

He ran up to her, hoping he would will the monsters around to drop dead asleep, but unfortunately he hadn't been able to control anything besides his fear contact. "Manny, Val!"  Clarisse shouted and Amani lined up in the phalanx formation she commanded. (He ignored the fact Clarisse still wasn't saying his name right–he's accepted it at this point.) Val appeared not long after. Clarisse turned invisible on the bull, but it set its targets on them as a result,  leading the rest to have no choice but to defend against it.

Amani tried finding a way to look at its eyes for long enough, but it didn't stay put long enough. The bull moved deadly fast for something so big. Its metal hide gleamed in the sun. It had fist-sized rubies for eyes and horns of polished silver. When it opened its hinged mouth, a column of white-hot flame blasted out. Amani braced himself, "hold the line!" Clarisse ordered.

Unfortunately, at that moment, the other bull lost interest in finding Annabeth. It turned, wheeling around behind Clarisse on her unprotected side.

"Behind you!" A familiar voice Amani hadn't heard for a long time yelled. "Look out!"  Bull Number One crashed into Clarisse's shield, and the phalanx broke. Clarisse went flying backwards and landed in a smouldering patch of grass.

The bull charged past her, but not before blasting the other heroes with its fiery breath. Their shields melted right off their arms. Amani cursed. He and Val ran up to the Bull approaching Clarisse, but someone else Lunged forward. They grabbed Clarisse by the straps of her armour, dragging her out of the way.

Amani gritted his teeth, putting all his focus on the bull, sleep! He willed. The monster stumbled in a daze, he hadn't passed out, but it was enough. Percy managed to swipe his sword and cut a huge gash during his save and Val cut another with his axe. He added his own slash on the legs, but it still wasn't enough.

"Let me go!" He heard Clarisse yell. "Percy, curse you!" He heard Annabeth shout orders to the other heroes, telling them to spread out and keep the bulls distracted.

Both bulls ran towards Percy, the second bull he had been fighting earlier blew flames at him. He gritted his teeth, running towards Percy with Val not far behind. Percy tripped over something, but managed to cut the bull's snout as it galloped away. "Val go after the Bull!" Amani shouted before going towards Percy, the first bull getting closer too.

He didn't think he could make it in time, "I, Annabeth Chase, give you permission to enter camp!" He heard Annabeth shout. Thunder shook the hillside.

Suddenly someone was there, barrelling towards Percy, yelling, "Percy needs help!" Before anybody could say anything, he dived in-between the Bull and Percy as it unleashed its fire. The blast swirled around him like a red tornado.
