rules aren't fun, but in order for a happy and safe roleplay to occur, there must be some ground rules to follow so we're both happy!

i. please only roleplay with me through pms!

i ask that we roleplay through the pms because i prefer the privacy-- i don't like the idea of random people seeing our roleplays. writing for me is vulnerable and i don't want to exactly share my writing with the world! 

ii. be a detailed and literate roleplayer!

my replies tend to either go up to the character limit, or they take up to two messages where each response to our roleplay goes up/around the character limit. they do not have to go that length however, but at least 7-8 lines minimum. i need something to work with, and one-liners don't do it for me, sorry.

iii. replies must be the same/around the same length for both sides. 

it's not cool for you to write a novel for your side of the rp, and then i get like, three lines. i understand that replies won't be perfectly the same, but if i notice this is an ongoing thing (at least like 3 times in a row), i won't respond. it shows me you don't really care or that you only want to roleplay your side. to me, roleplays are a two-way street! 

iv. no "perfect" characters, please! (aka, no mary sues!)

i'm totally fine if your oc is from the lab (but please for the love of god make them interesting), but no person is perfect! i would aim for at least 3 flaws minimum. if your oc has powers, don't godmod them or overpower them! 

v. please don't spam me excessively!!

i'm a senior in college and i've been recently diagnosed with anxiety, so when i get spammed a lot, i get irritated and anxious. wait between 2 days to a week to send me a message! sometimes i'm just forgetful and i need a reminder, but when you do it like, everyday, i lose my respect for you. it makes me even more anxious and avoids you even more. (password one: what's your favorite season in stranger things?)

vi. please have realistic faceclaims/fcs for your ocs.

i always find it hella awkward if your oc has an anime faceclaim, since stranger things is a live action tv series! you don't even have to have an fc for your oc, but if you do-- please make sure it matches around the age of the group they're around, too. meaning, if your oc is more with the teens (like with steve, eddie, robin, etc.), it's not realistic to have megan fox as your fc lol. 

vii. crushes

i don't care if we have the same crush, we can just have separate plots if we have the same crush! if my oc has a crush and a backup crush-- those will be it. i'm not going to change them around. i expect you to have a backup crush as well, unless if that's really, really, who you want.

viii. i will not change a character's canon sexuality to be with your oc if your oc is not the gender they're attracted to.

it's super awkward and uncomfortable if your oc is female having will as your love interest, or your oc being male and having robin as your love interest. please respect their canon sexualities! i'm fine with you hcing the rest of the characters' sexualities since they aren't confirmed.

ix. lgbtqia+ ocs/characters are totally allowed!

as a queer person myself, i always encourage ocs to be within the community! the show already has lgbtqia characters, so i have no problem with it. 

x. which leads to my next rule, NO HOMOPHOBIA, TRANSPHOBIA, RACISM, BIGOTRY, ETC.

absolutely not tolerated here. i do not need to explain. roleplays are supposed to be a safe space! (password two: who's your favorite stranger things character?)

xi. nsfw content is preferable, but you have to be 18+.

i prefer to have nsfw elements in my roleplays-- it's fun to spice things up! however, you cannot be a minor if we do nsfw stuff. i don't feel comfortable doing that at all with minors. if you are a minor and we roleplay, we can go as far as making out, but otherwise, we will fade to black. if we roleplay with anybody from the party, they need to be aged up to 18+-- even in general/sfw situations.

xii. please make the roleplays realistic to the timeline. 

UNLESS if we're doing a modern!au stranger things plot, keep to the '80s. i'm not saying we need to be expert historians in the '80s, but i'm sure your oc is not gonna be wearing a tame impala shirt when going to the arcade. <3 

xiii. if you get bored of your plot, please don't hesitate to let me know!

i change my plots often bc i get so many new ideas i want to play out, so i think it's only fair that you get that same privilege too! i won't be offended at all. :)

xiv. have fun and enjoy! :)

i know these rules might sound harsh, but i swear i'm a nice person! i just want to make sure we have a good time with our roleplays

xv. my limits and triggers.

i refuse to roleplay anything that revolves around eating disorders (EDs), self-harm, r*pe, terminal illnesses (such as cancer, anything along those lines), abuse in any way, degradation (for nsfw), and humiliation (for nsfw). please respect these boundaries. if you don't i have the right to not roleplay with you any longer. i will respect your limits and triggers as well. (password three: what is your age and your pronouns?)

xvi. make sure you've read the rules and that you send in the passwords either in the comments or in pms!

i have the right to not accept you if you don't comment or send me the passwords. there should be three total. if i don't get your comment or message, i'm not going to reply because it shows me that you didn't read my rules. sorry (but not really)!
