Four Months Ago
"What?" The word escaped Aubrey's mouth while her eyes filled with tears and she sat up in her hospital bed. Her stomach dropped down to the floor and she stared at the doctor in shock. The night before this, Aubrey had awoken from her month long coma and was confused about everything that had happen recently in her life. The doctor had run a few test on her, to only find out their prognosis was right and she did wake up with amnesia. After asking her questions about what she remembered and what she didn't, they had figured out she had lost a year of memory. Everything from a year ago was all just a blur to her.
The last thing she remembers was telling her parents she planned on applying for a job at Forever 21 and that was it. After that, everything is blank to her.
Aubrey's parents could sigh of relief when the doctor had announced to then that she doesn't remember a single thing about Jason or being kidnapped. But things turned worst for them when the doctor told them her memories had a possibility of coming back to her and she might experience flash backs.
"I'm so sorry Aubrey, there is really nothing we could do to regain your memories back. That is all up to you sweetie. You will experience slight flashbacks but that's just about it until your brain decides to let your memory back into your head." The female doctor sighed, staring at Aubrey who had tears in her eyes and devastation written all over her face. Aubrey slowly nodded her head and looked towards the ground. There was nothing she could really do except to accept the fact she wasn't going to remember a year of her life and that those memories might be gone forever.
No light appeared in the McCann household, pitch black was all there was. Jack Daniel bottles were thrown on the living room and bedroom floor. Polaroids of Aubrey and Jason were thrown on the glass coffee table in the large living room. The entire house was an absolute mess except the kitchen, Jason hadn't eaten in over a week.
Jason laid in his large bed that he use to share with Aubrey, with puffy eyes and in a trance. He laid on his back with the same clothes he had out on five days ago. He stared up at the ceiling with nothing in his eyes, nothing in his body, just pain.
Living without her was the worst thing Jason has ever had to do. It had been one month since he had last seen her. One month since he pressed his lips upon hers. One month since he last told her that he had loved her. One month since he touched her gentle body.
One month full of pain.
Alcohol bottles were thrown everywhere around the room along with clothes, papers, glass. Jason hadn't clean or had anyone clean for him since Aubrey had left. He felt he didn't have to anything since she was gone now. He felt like he didn't have to anything actually since Aubrey wasn't here with him.
After arriving home from Arizona, Jason went crazy. He cried and cried as he threw furniture, glass, frames, and punched holes at/into the walls. His anger had gotten the best of him and consumed him in the worse way possible.
Pattie opened the door to her son's room and gasped at the absolute mess that surrounded his bed. The room reeked of sweat, food, body stench, old sheets, smoke, and alcohol.
Jason laid in bed, continuing to stare at the ceiling not even taking in his mother's presence. "Jason, baby, you have to get out of here sometime. Cassie and Cameron just had the baby. Don't you want to see Caleb?" Pattie asked, trying to get her son out of his room and to meet his godson that was now one day old.
Jason ignored his mother, every word that she had just said going into one ear and existing the other. Pattie huffed in failure and shook her head, knowing he would come out when he wanted too.
