The rain poured harshly, and thunder illuminated the earth in its glow, bringing the depressing atmosphere to life. Far off in the deep eerie forest, a feeling of death and dread spread around the abandoned house like a blanket, the fires of the building stood tall, raging, unrelenting to the harsh pours of rain. The sounds of heavy sobs filled the forest. Blood poured out like a river, blending with the rivers of rain. It was horrific, a graphic image of a brutal massacre, corpses, and corpses painted the earth floor dark crimson red. The smell of death hung heavy in the air, the pungent smell mixing with the smell of fear and horror.

" You n..need to go .. it's okay s-stop crying...go to Lee.. " Ethan's voice came hoarse, strained. He was dying.

"Are you crazy!? There's no way I'm leaving you here !" Akira exclaimed with rivers falling from her face, determined not to leave him to die, she stubbornly lifted his bicep, attempting to help him stand up.

"Come on, get up we need to go.Please!" She begged, her sobs echoing through the empty forest, in the middle of nowhere. As they say in the forests, no one can hear you scream.

Akira grudgingly tried to carry his large body, but the weight felt heavy on her skinny limps. She slumped on the muddy ground in defeat. His body fell out of her grip. Akira cried, cradling his body close to her, her trembling hands tried to stop the flow of blood.

So much. So much blood, it painted both of them, cling to them like an insistent nightmare. Her breath came in harsh puffs and sharp intakes.

This was her fault.

If it was not for her, Ethan would not be fighting for his life. His face formed into a melancholy smile, this was the first time she had ever seen him smile, even if it was sad, it was still beautiful. Akira felt her heart squeeze in her chest, even on the verge of death, he looked perfect.

His five features were stunning, a sharp nose, a jaw so sharp it could cut diamonds, his jet black hair clung to his face due to the wetness of the rain, his body was strong, shoulders broad and his body strong and ripped with muscles but not too much. It was like God took special time to create such a stunning specimen, but alas his piece had been gifted to the wrong person, Akira felt her chest prick, and it suddenly dawned on her the reality of the situation. The magnitude if her ignorance. She was wrong.

So wrong. He loved her.

More than she ever knew.

He would do anything for her, but in the end, he was the one about to lose his life. He didn't deserve this.

Akira betrayed him and plotted against him with a man, she stupidly thought loved her but who, in reality,  used her as a pawn against him. And she did so much more.

The devastation in her life seemed unfathomable. Her once-happy family was no more. Her beloved brother had been wrongly accused, convicted, and sentenced to death for a crime he didn't commit. Her parents had suffered a tragic fate, falling victim to a heinous act of violence. As if that weren't enough, her sinister aunt and stepsister had callously seized everything that rightfully belonged to her family – their home, their wealth – and subjected her to a life of servitude, using her as a target for their cruelty and torment. Yet, the kindness of a man named Ethan had intervened, sparing her from enduring such torment for too long. However, in a cruel twist of fate, he now lay in her arms, his life slipping away, all because of her. If only she hadn't been so gullible, so easily swayed by that man's words, perhaps he wouldn't be facing this grim outcome.

"Akira ..you..are my life ..promise me -"

"you will live on and be happy, let my death not be in vain-"
