Have you ever wanted to punch someone so hard?
Because Akira was on the verge of slamming the annoying receptionist's head on the desk.
I wonder if she'll bleed...
"Hey, are you deaf? I said leave! We have more important things to do than fight with some horny teenager. Leave this premises immediately." Her red lips twisted and her long nails tapped against the desk impatiently.
Akira pursed her lips angrily, she was about to put the arrogant woman in her place until a figure got in her line of sight. It was one of Ethan's bodyguards. Suddenly a light bulb lit up in her mind, and her lips stretched into a grin. This was about to get fun. The women peered at her with disdain, oblivious to the girl's plan.
Akira took a breath and suddenly took off in a sprint to the elevator, completely catching the women by surprise. Finally snapping out their stupor, the receptionist yelled out furiously.
Her face was ugly as she shouted to the other employees, "STOP GAWKING! GET HER!"
As soon as she ordered the other workers to catch her, they chased after her, but it was too late. All the women saw as the elevator doors closed was Akira's wide grin. She cursed. The receptionist screamed in anguish, hurriedly calling security.
"SECURITY! A WOMAN HAS JUST BROKEN INTO THE COMPANY AND HEADING FOR THE BOSS! HURRY! SHE IS AFTER THE CEO!... I DON'T CARE WHO SHE IS, JUST GET YOUR GIANT BUTTS OVER HERE, BEFORE SHE FINDS THE BOSS AND GETS YOUR USELESS ASSES FIRED!" She yelled over the phone.
A few seconds large black-suited men all dashed to the Boss's office. Everyone was on high alert, the receptionist grinned smugly, there was no way she was going to miss this! She followed the men to the 15th floor, eager to watch Akira's downfall. Naturally, everyone else wanted to see the finale of this feud.
Meanwhile, Akira was happily skipping to Hubby's workroom. She was aware that security was probably on its way but Akira wasn't concerned at all. She wanted this to happen.
Everything is under control.
Finally reaching the workroom, Akira debated whether she should just walk in or knock first. She shrugged her shoulders, this is her husband, why the need for such formality, like knocking?
With that in mind, Akira casually strolled into his office boldly with a wide grin.
"I'm the missing piece to this puzzle, and I just walked in!" Akira exclaimed, ignoring the fact she technically broke into his company.
'"Where's my darling?" Akira grinned widely
Ethan's head snapped in her direction, a cold unwelcoming sneer on his face, however, it was quickly wiped away when he recognized that angelic voice. Surprise flickered in his eyes for a fraction of a minute and it was gone as soon as it came, relaxing into a complicated expression.
"What are you doing here? " His deep voice sounded in her ears. Akira smiled, walking towards his desk.
His eyes followed her steps, his eyes took in her changed attire and somehow he thought he was looking at someone else but he knew it was the same person. Yet the longer he interacted with her, the more unrecognizable she became to him, the more his knowledge about her faded into nothing but useless and irrelevant facts.
Yet nothing changed, not even her hypnotic eyes although they appeared softer, more fulfilled, and joyful than the dull, deep hateful eyes he was used to. Emerald, a color he began to love and hate at the same time, reminded him of the chains that confined him with his own will, the strings of his heart. And he knew who controlled them but he never wanted out. He couldn't.
