Ethan nearly choked on his saliva. He froze, flushed his face, and looked away shyly. He believed she didn't exactly mean it that way ...but still. His body became excited. Ethan cleared his throat and said roughly.
"What did you say?"
Noticing his weird behavior, Akira was confused. Suddenly her face turned three shades of red once her words sank in.
Oh my! That is not what I meant!
Don't act like you don't want it.
'You shut it down'. Akira looked at Ethan. A long silence drawled over them. Akira felt the awkwardness suffocate her.
"I mean let's go upstairs. I'm tired, yeah, I feel a bit drowsy! It's not what you think! What, ew! "No way, I would never do that!" Akira practically word-vomitted everything. She tried to explain what she meant but it wasn't coming out the way it was supposed to.
"Oh really, I didn't know sleeping with me was 'new' to you," Ethan said dryly, his forehead forming a frown.
Akira wanted to smack herself in the face, a well-done genius.
"No, it's not, it's just not something I want to do." Akira sputtered.
"Am I disgusting to you? Are you revolted by the mere thought of being with me?" Ethan's face darkened, showing his displeasure.
He suddenly thought of Colten and Akira together and his face fell. Though he felt her apology was sincere, he was indecisive about trusting her words. Words will always remain words, a cheetah can never change its spots. Her actions would testify to how much of it was sincere. And right now, her actions are not leaning in the direction he liked.
"You would rather do it with him huh? Right? Tell me did you kiss me just to make him jealous or so that you could save yourself from your trap?" Ethan hissed with sharp venom that made Akira's heart freeze.
"Shall I go call him back, so that you can enjoy your 'boyfriend' while I'm gone?" He spat out bitterly, his every word seethed in anger.
Akira's eyes widen in panic.
"No of course not. I did that because I wanted to. And he's not my boyfriend. We broke up remember? I don't like him anymore. " Akira immediately wanted to interject and tell him that was not what she wanted.
The look Akira received was cold. Akira swore if looks could, she would have been long dead. His face said 'You did not just say that bullshit straight to my face.
Holy cat, now that pissed him off.
"Don't act like we did not have this exact conversation before." He replied, his glare getting harder.
"No, it has nothing to do with Colton and I never wanted him here." Akira lied. She wished Colton would not stop being a thorn in their relationship but sadly he was, and Akira blamed no one but herself for that.
"Cut the crap, Akira. I already knew you had asked Victoria to bring him here. You forgot that when you made that phone call, you were right underneath MY balcony?" He sneered, clearly remembering the conversation she had on the phone with Victoria.
Akira's heart dropped as a flashback came to her. The night before she had conceited with Victoria to sneak in Colton. Her face palled as she remembered she was outside on her balcony and coincidentally that was just below Ethan's balcony.
She internally cursed her old self for her stupidity. Like come on, how dumb can one person be?
She looked at his rough expression as he tried to hide away the anger and jealousy in his eyes, covered by a layer of frost, which Akira realized showed his heartache as well.
