I changed the name. I just didn't feel the old one like it felt me. Do you feel me?

The sun slipped through the velvet drapes, coaxing the room to awaken itself, its touch painted everything in its golden hue, and tiny sparks, and beams of light cut through the shadows of the room. As the sun's rays danced around the room, the air was filled with a sense of peace and tranquility. Soft, ethereal light caressed the mind and lifted spirits like a gentle caress.
I lay there, cocooned in warmth, my skin tingling with pleasure as I stretched out my muscles sinuously as my body stirred, an attempt to escape the sun's pesterous rays, a symphony of groans and a yawn. Birds chorused outside, a morning chant to welcome the new day with grace and joy.
I was warm, very warm and that warmth was not mine.
Finally opening my heavy eyes, I take in the large muscular hand slathered in tattoos, draped over my waist, curled forward, pushing my back into something hard and well-built.
My mouth stretched out in a yawn. I shifted my body with much difficulty since apparently, some brute was a huge cuddler.
"Well this is a nice way to wake up," I said, soaking in the feeling his muscles evoked from me. He must have felt my movements because the next thing I was being pulled deeper into his hand, his arm caging me.
I fought to stifle a laugh before finally twisting my body to face his angelic face. His face was peaceful-content. As if he was someone far away where no one could hurt him.
The sun outlined and sketched in golden hues, which I found myself tracing, over his brows, eyes, cheeks, jaw, and lips.
Oh, those lips that I devoured last night. They had a slightly reddish color, similar to the shade of my lip gloss, a statement to our passionate night, however...
"How I wish we could have gone further but..."
We didn't do anything. The time wasn't right for that, and frankly, I'd prefer it after I'd restored my body to its former splendor. As I gazed at his serene face, a mix of tenderness and longing washed over me. I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for us.
Our first fight, though the experience was new to me, I knew this was not a step back in our path but a stepping stone to building a foundation of trust between us. I mean, with the position this unexpected situation led to, I am not complaining.
I was lost in my thoughts, I did not notice that someone else's gaze was absorbing me in, my cheeks flushed as his half-lidded eyes scanned my face in wonder and unhinged affection.
I was right, this was a stepping stone.
I beam at him, flashing him a bright smile. "Morning!"
"Morning, you know it's rude to stare right?" He tugged a hair behind my ear.
"And since when did I care?" I smirked at him cheekily.
"Never," He said rolling his eyes. I saw the corners of his lips twitching. He glanced at the digital clock beside him, showing it was way past 7. I grin, realizing we overslept.
"Great, now you've made me sleep in." He tugged me closer with the waistband of my shorts. I giggled, snuggling closer to his chest.
"Technically that wasn't entirely my fault, I wasn't the one who started it." I lean up to kiss his lips. His reaction for me is a full-blown smile stretching across his cheek, carving a masterpiece with dimples and a soft laugh.
