It's the new school year, new dorm mates, students, classes, and students ecstatic to meet their buddies.
Shino's P.O.V
I've been rather busy, my mind has been everywhere all summer. Even as I walk to find my new dorm.
All summer I have been digging and searching in every possible source about my parents. All I have is one lead.
An uncle that went missing long before I was born. There has been a missing person's report on him since he was my age. I have been wanting to talk to someone about this, but everyone's been busy. Especially Artemis.
Even thinking about him gets my heart racing, my mind going a thousand miles per hour. The last time we ever really had a romantic moment was when he kissed me goodbye for the summer. And before that.... Well, I was pretty dang close to going out of the PG - 13 reference frame.
We have talked over the phone a few times, but it's not the same. He lets me talk all about what I've found, but whenever I try to get him to talk about what he's found, he tries to avoid it.
Maybe he just hasn't found anything yet
My thoughts are interrupted when I run straight into someone, toppling to the ground.
" hey! Watch where you're - Shino?" I turn my head to the person I bumped into and see the familiar cotton candy haired territorial ex - vigilante starring at me in surprise. " Kiyo!" I jump up to greet him, which he recoils from my unusual excitement. I dial back and begin talking to him
" how've you been?" I ask curiously, we haven't really talked, not since before getting kidnapped at the government building. He shrugged
" just chilling, spending time with Sapphire and Yuuto." He answered blankly before his face is hit with realization " hey, I would love to talk, actually not really, but I have to find my new dorm" he ran off before I even had time to say another sentence.He had a point, I still haven't figured out where I'm located.
When I heard the news that I was no longer dorm mates with Artemis, my heart sank a little. Looking at my new schedule and dorm number, I jogged across the lots until coming up on the building. The sign read

Well there are some light sides to this
Good news: I am roomies with someone I know, I get to know the new students
Bad news: PATRON HATES ME!!!
I get it, he and Artemis are extremely close, practically brothers. Heck they look a little alike! So as the older brother, Patron is a bit protective..... especially if his younger brother is in a relationship with someone who isn't exactly stable. But this guy really wants to kill me. With my hand shaking, I open the door to my new home.
It was eerie with silence, walking around the new dorm and what adventures I might have in here. It's somewhat similar to the one me, Rikku and Artemis lived in. just instead the kitchen is bigger, the two smaller rooms are upstairs and the bigger one is downstairs.
I head down to the bigger room, which appears to already be taken. A small bed with pink and yellow markings, posters of National Geographic stories and ferocious looking wolverines on the walls, the ground littered with claw marks and feathers.
What the?.....
Upstairs, I hear some commotion, the thuds of feet on the ground above as someone walks in. I head up to the living room and see a young girl about a year younger than me, brown with light pink highlights gives me a warm welcoming smile " ah, you must be one of my dorm mates. I'm Phoebe, are you Shino or Patron?" She asked, excitement and curiosity i her facial features and voice. Her personality sort of catches me off guard along with her question, but I answer anyway
