Ok, ok, ok. I just re watched a few of fourohfour entertainment's MHO, and found two things that stuck out to me.
1. On the episode " LETS GET DOWN TO BUISNESS" there was a little extra scene of Shizu's mother delivering flowers to a grave sight.
Now, I don't know who it's for, since it read " in loving memory of Nozomi Miryoku" and then a bunch of chines and/or Japanese, IDK. ( town stamp 23:32 and on)
Option 1 - Shizu's dad died and her mom is hiding that. But what contradicts that is the first episode of the chibi oven Christmas special, where Shizu explained that their father and mother finally divorced and they're living with their father now this him being alive.
Option 2 - rain, our beloved slaughterer, grave, believing he is dead.
Now call me crazy, up on the final episode, when Rain makes his appearance, he throws the knife directly at Shizu, inpaling itself in the wall right in front of Shizu's eyes. Then he says AND I QUOTE " your eyes. They remind me of.... Her." ( time stamp 12:17 - 12:24)
EXPLANATION?!??!
My theory - somehow, Rain and Shizu are related. Both of their quirks revolve around eletro magnetic waves, Rain being an EMP (electro magnetic pulse) and Shizu with polarity and electrical magnetic manipulation.
They also reference that the Miryoku family is a quirk purity and extremely hard on its children. I mean, we've all seen Shizu's hidden fear of her mother, come on.
So another idea is that Rain was a child of the Miryoku family and was disinherited, kicked out of the family. And he lost his sanity and probably doing something to make the family believe he is dead.
Which is why he got so pissed when he saw Shizu.
