Chapter 5: *5

A month passed by during their time at college.

Zed has tried out for Mountain College's football team (so has Wynter), and they both made the team.

Both Willa and Wyatt were proud of them, needless to say.

Meanwhile, Eliza decided to go back to interning at Z-Corp and won't come back until the second semester.

On another note, Addison left with the aliens to explore the 'cosmos and galaxies,' as she put it, and has never said when she would return.

But Wyatt couldn't care less.

Also, Bonzo and Bree left to go to cheer camp after trying out for Mountain College's cheer team, but the couple mentioned they wouldn't be back for a few weeks.

That left Zed, Wyatt, Willa, and Wynter going through college by themselves.

But little did they know, danger was working its way into Mountain College.

"Just ask him out already!" Willa told Wyatt, annoyed.

The twins were eating at a diner down the road from the college.

They ordered the same thing; fish and chips.

Wyatt frowned, "What if he says no?"

"I doubt he'll say no," Willa took a bite of her food, "I've seen you two grow closer in the last month."

Wyatt leaned back in his seat. That's true.

Yeah, they sneak a few kisses then and there, but they weren't exclusive.

After considering it, Wyatt spoke, "Fine, I'll ask him."

"Good, so I don't have to hear any more whining about it."

Back at the college campus, Zed and Wynter are receiving their new football jackets from their new football coach. Coach Lewis.

"I would like to welcome you two officially to our football team." Coach Lewis smiles as she hands them their new football jackets.

"Wow, thanks coach." Zed gave her an appreciative grin when he took his jacket.

Wynter also took hers, "Yeah, thanks!" Hurrying to try her jacket on, with an excited look on her face.

The jackets were a greyish pink with a Mountain College logo on the left side of the jacket, with their squad numbers on the back.

Zed's number was '1', and Wynter's number was '62.'

"You are both welcome. I hope to see you two at practice tomorrow evening." Coach Lewis smiled as she left the gym.

Wynter turns to Zed with an enthusiastic grin, "Isn't it exciting our new coach became the first woman ever to become a college football coach?!"

Zed nods in agreement, "Her story was so incredible! I nearly fell on the edge of my seat!"

The pair kept their conversation going when they exited the gym.

Deep into their discussion, the both of them stopped when Zed's name was called.

"Zed!"

Zed turned around and saw Wyatt running towards them.

"Hey, Wyatt!" Zed waved.

"I see you both sporting your new jackets," Wyatt smirks.

"These jackets are way more comfortable," Zed tells him, taking his hands out of his jacket pocket.
