Chapter 10: *10

"Willa, would you calm down? I'm pretty sure Wyatt is okay." Wynter tries to assure the Alpha, who is pacing around in the living room.

Willa shakes her head, "I can't calm down. I feel like he is in danger." She places her hand on her chest.

Wynter sighs. She knew Willa could sense Wyatt was in trouble because of their twin bond.

Werewolf twins have a powerful bond that can sense their sibling in danger.

"I'm going to check on him," Willa says before opening the door and leaving their apartment.

"Wait for me!" Wynter runs after her.

Wyatt breathes in deeply as he looks at the blood covering his hands.

"I can't believe I killed them." He whispers softly.

Wyatt didn't know what had happened. The last thing he remembers is being held in a chokehold and Zed being attacked by a vampire and passing out and then after that, everything is a blur. Like, he blacked out and woke with blood covering his hands and his mouth.

"What happened to me?"

"Wyatt?" Zed's voice was heard.

Wyatt ran to Zed, touching his cheek, "Zed, are you okay?"

Zed touches his neck and hisses, "That vampire really bit me on the same spot where I was bitten before."

Wyatt helped his boyfriend stand up, "Bitten before?"

"Yeah, pretty sure he was a vampire, too."

Wyatt furrowed his eyebrows, "He?"

Zed nods, "He was in the gym that day where the coach wanted to meet with me. But, now that I think about it, it was probably a setup for him to meet with me."

"What did he look like?"

Zed tried to remember, "He was tall, blonde with red streaks, and handsome."

"Wait, handsome?" Wyatt inquires with jealousy.

"Yeah. He was handsome but not as handsome as you, Wyatt." Zed assures the werewolf.

'Thank God.' Wyatt sighs in relief.

"Zed? Wyatt?" A sweet voice calls their names.

The couple turns their heads to Wynter and Willa entering their apartment through the broken door and wall.

"What are you two doing here?" Wyatt asks.

Willa pulls Wyatt into a crushing hug, "I felt you were in danger," She lets go of him to check him over, "Who's blood is that?!"

Wyatt looks at his hands, "It's a long story."

"Um, Wyatt?" Wynter calls his name, sounding unsure.

"What's wrong, Wynter?" Wyatt asks with concern.

Wynter points at his hair, "Your hair is turning purple."

"What?" Wyatt touches his hair, walks into the bathroom, and stares into the mirror with wide eyes when he notices his hair has indeed turned purple but with more than one white streak occurring afterward.

"What the hell?" Wyatt cursed, still touching his hair.

"Uh, Wyatt? You're not the only one." Zed said, standing next to his boyfriend in the mirror, with his hair turning black, with green streaks in them.

Wyatt hesitantly touched Zed's hair, "What is happening to us?"

"I don't know but... can someone explain this, I'm freaking out!" Zed lifts his top lip, showing the two fangs in his mouth.

Three gasps were heard from the werewolves as Wyatt held his boyfriend's face, examining his fangs before looking at him in the eyes with a worried look, "Zed, I don't know how to tell you this but... you're turning into a vampire."

Willa's eyes widened, "A vampire?!"

Wynter had the same shock on her face, "How?!"

Wyatt kept his attention on Zed, "You remember when Zed was in the hospital and was on the verge of dying due to blood loss?"

Willa and Wynter both responded 'yes.'

"I think the vampire that bit him turned him," Wyatt told them, his mind slowly putting the pieces together.

"But, why would a vampire turn Zed?" Willa inquires, wondering why a vampire would go after her friend.

"So we can be together forever," Zed spoke, frowning at the words that came out of his mouth.

"What are you talking about, Zed?" Wyatt whispers.

"When I was in my coma, I remember him calling me Eleazar and how he blames you for taking me away from him and him saying that he will kill you again to make sure you don't come between us once again," Zed explained as he watched Wyatt's expression form into puzzlement.

"Taking you away from him? I don't think I've met this dude in my life before." Wyatt said in confusion. Why would a vampire blame him for taking Zed away? Who is Eleazar? And why does that name sound familiar to him?

"We need to get out of here." Willa suddenly announced with a low growl as she sniffed the air. "I smell vampires."

Wyatt and Wynter also sniffed the air, both growling at the scent of vampires.

"There are five of them and two of them are armed." Wyatt snarls.

Zed couldn't hear what the wolves were saying as his vision blurry, 'Why do I feel tired all of a sudden?'

"Zed, are you okay?" Wyatt asks when the zombie laid his head on his shoulder.

"Just... a... little tired..." Zed whispers as he closes his eyes.

Wyatt touches his boyfriend's forehead, slightly hissing at the heat that's coming from it, "Zed!" He slightly shakes him to wake him up.

Willa stands next to her brother, "What's wrong with him?"

"I don't know! He was just fine a second ago!" Wyatt hugs Zed as he hears him whimper into his neck.

"I think he needs to feed," Willa concluded. She then touched Zed's arm with her hand, frowning at the heat coming from him.

Wyatt stares at his sister, "How do you know that?"

Willa shrugs, "I read it in a book about vampires when we were kids once."

"So, what happens to him now?" Wyatt asks, rubbing his boyfriend's back when Zed whimpered again.

Willa frowns, "If Zed didn't feed right away after his fangs grew in, in an hour or two, his body will start to shut down and he will eventually die." She watched Wyatt's eyes widen in horror.

"No... no! I can't let him die! Willa, I can't stand to lose him! Not again!" Wyatt's eyes filled with tears. "What if he feeds from me?"

The Alpha shook her, with sadness in her eyes, "That's too much of a risk, Wyatt. What if he takes too much blood from you?"

"Then, I'll take that risk," Wyatt said with determination.

Willa saw the stubbornness in her brother's eyes and sighed when she realized she couldn't convince him, "Fine. But first, we need to leave this place soon as possible."

"Where would we go?" Wynter inquired as she stood next to the twins.

Willa crossed her arms thinking, 'Where should we go so the vampires won't find us?' Soon an idea popped into the Alpha's head.

"I know where we should go, but there is a high chance Zed might not make it in time if we don't leave now."

"Where is the place?" Wyatt questions as held Zed in his arms.

"It's in the Forbidden Forest."
