Wyatt winced as he was woken by the sun shining through the window. Was it morning already?
He opened his eyes and checked his surroundings. Zed must have carried him to bed after he fell asleep in his arms last night.
Speaking of his boyfriend, Wyatt smiles lovingly at the thought of him. He feels really lucky to have Zed as his mate.
He truly does.
Wyatt stretched as he sat up in the bed and looked next to him to see that Zed was gone. "He must have already headed downstairs," Wyatt concluded.
He was about to get up from the bed when he heard a scream from downstairs. A scream he knew so well.
"Zed!" The werewolf hurried and got out of bed, leaving the room as fast as he could.
Once he managed to make it downstairs, he saw that his sister and Wynter were down there. "Guys! Is Zed okay?! I heard him scream!" He yelled, causing Willa and Wynter to wince at his loud voice. "Sorry." He whispered quietly.
"Don't be such a worry-wolf, brother. Zed is fine, look." Willa motioned him to turn his head and he did.
Wyatt saw in the living room that Zed was on the floor, being hugged by someone, who he's never seen before. "Babe, are you okay?" He asked, walking up to the pair.
Zed turned his head, "I'm fine, Wolfie." He assured his boyfriend. "Just trapped."
"Zed! I missed you so so so much!" She squeezed harder, forcing Zed to wheeze.
"Sis, I think you can get off him now." Someone's voice was heard.
The wolves looked up to see a male with curly black hair with pale skin and hazel-green eyes standing in the doorway leading to the dining room. "Hi, I'm Victor Alkazar, and this is my sister, Zaria." Victor introduced them to the wolves.
The wolves didn't say anything as they glared at him while growling slowly with their moonstone and eyes glowing.
"Oh right. Werewolves and vampires don't get along very well." Victor chuckled, not fazed at all by the growling.
"Calm down, guys. He's not a threat." Zed assured when he was finally let up from the floor.
The wolves stopped growling and Wyatt went to hug his boyfriend, with Zed chuckling into the embrace as he hugged him back.
"Don't scare me like that again." Wyatt lightly scolded him.
"I won't." Zed smiled.
Esmeralda stepped into the room, looking at Zed, "Now, that everyone is here, let's have breakfast and discuss. We have a lot of catching up to do."
Zed nodded, "Yes, Grandma."

Zoey sat at the top of the stairs as she watched her father, Zevon, talk to the Z-Patrol Chief, Dale Wells.
"You haven't found him, yet?" Zevon asked.
Dale sighs, "We're trying but it's not so easy when we have to deal with an investigation at Mountain College as to why 10 students were found dead behind the football stadium and why there was an explosion at the apartment Zed and the other wolves stayed at."
Zevon frowned and Dale patted his shoulder, "But don't worry, we'll find him. Zed is like a son to me too."
"Thanks." Zevon gave him a small smile.
Once he left, Zoey went back to her room, closing her door. She reached for the picture frame on her stand by her bed.
Zoey grabbed it and looked at it as she sat on her bed. It was a picture of Zed and their mom.
This picture was taken before their mom passed. Zed was only a few months old in this picture. Their mother was feeding him some baby food. Valencia appeared to be laughing joyfully as the food was smeared across his face.
Zoey giggled. She found this picture hidden in Zed's room when they were playing hide-in-seek in the house 2 or 3 years ago. After she had found it, Zed let her keep it because she couldn't stop staring at it. He made the frame for her and put it on the stand next to her bed.
"Where are you, big brother?"

Cassius sipped his wine glass which was filled with blood as he watched the moon from his balcony, which was slowly turning red.
"The Blood Moon is approaching sooner than I thought." He sipped the last of the blood in the glass. "I guess the plan to bring Eleazar back to me will have to be as soon as possible."
The vampire walked back into his chamber with a smirk, thinking, "If Valencia won't help me find her son, I guess I have to find someone else to do it for me. Even if it means that bloody werewolf has to be killed for it to be accomplished."
He laughs maniacally, "Once Octavius Lykensen is dead again, I'll carve his precious mark out of his arm and take it as a trophy!"
Cassius then approached an enormous painting of Eleazar that was hung on the wall across the bed in the room. He looks up, "You were supposed to be mine. My mate. But, that werewolf had to take you away from me. From what we could've done together."
"Your father promised that once I asked for your hand in marriage and we're married, he would make us both Lords. The promise sounded ideal to me because all I wanted was for us to spend an eternity together and have... an heir."
"But, the 'Mighty Great Alpha' had to come and ruin it! We were friends once and that changed the moment we fell in love with the same person. You."
"When I heard the moment you were his mate, I was furious. Then, 6 months later, I heard you were expecting his child. The successor to the Great Alpha and his pack, the Crescent Moon."
"I knew at that moment I had to prevent that bloody hybrid of a child you both created from being born."
"It may sound cruel, but I did what I had to do. I had to kill that abomination, even if it meant I had to kill you, too."
"A witch assured me that once I killed you, I could bring you back to life, with your memories erased of what happened and of Octavius with a memory loss potion she created."
Cassius sighed, "I don't think I could continue. Too much... bad memories."
He went to leave his chamber when he heard a familiar voice, "That was really monstrous of what you did."
Cassius turned around and his eyes widened when he saw who it was, "It can't be... Theodosia?!"
A woman with long curly crimson-red hair with purple and black highlights entered the room with crossed arms and a smirk. She has dark brown skin, reddish-brown eyes, and beautiful star-shaped birthmarks that decorated her arms and face perfectly.
"Have you missed me... brother?" Theodosia grinned.
