Bad Feeling

Jay, Jake and Niki sat the next morning at their regular table in the cafeteria while waiting for the rest of their friends. They looked at the cafeteria entrance at times and after a few minutes of waiting Jay looked towards Niki and Jake.

"I say we'll start eating" Jay suggested and without waiting for an answer he milded a piece of bacon into his mouth. Jake was worried that Sunghoon hadn't returned yesterday after leaving their room until the next morning, one of the nurses told them he was in the clinic. Niki also started eating while Jake was playing with the food on the plate. He did not think that Sunghoon's nightmare could be so bad that it made him feel unwell. On the other hand Jake had no memory of any nightmare or in general, he did not remember his dreams.

"Where are they? The breakfast is gonna end soon"Jake murmured after noticing that many children began to get up from their seats and cleared their trays of food. Niki wiped his mouth off the leftover food and looked towards Jake.

"Oh, I do remember something about Heeseung," Niki began to say with a disappointed voice. Jake took a piece of the bacon and the taste was weird.

"Hm?" Jay asked and took a sip from the glass of juice.

"Heeseung yesterday promised me that after he finished his shift in the cafeteria, he would read me a story before the lights went out, but he didn't show up. I didn't see him leave his room this morning either." Niki's voice sounded a little worried when he saw Jay's intrigued look.

"Strange" Jake murmured as he took another bite of the bacon but still the taste was weird to him. He didn't feel any taste. He cut a piece of fried egg. When he chewed it he also didn't feel any taste.

"He must have been kidnapped by aliens. That's the only explanation," Jay said with a straight look. Niki's eyes widened with fear and he looked towards Jake, who was drinking from the glass of orange juice. He didn't feel any taste and he tightened his lips. Why did the food have no taste? Even the drink itself felt like the taste of water.

"See? Even Jake thinks that way" Jay started saying and Niki clung to Jake's shoulder.

"Huh?" Jake asked distractedly and looked at the frightened Niki.

"Jay says Heeseung was kidnapped by aliens!" Niki said in horror and hugged Jake's arm with his small arms. Jake frowned at Jay, who was laughing over frightenten Niki.

"Not cool" Jake turned his attention towards the frightened Niki and stroked his head.

"Don't listen to Jay. He's just messing with you" Jake began to calm Niki down.

"And as for Heeseung, it certainly has a logical explanation like Sunghoon had. I was also worried at first because he didn't come back yesterday after leaving our room. This morning, one of the nurses told us he was in the clinic. Maybe Heeseung is there too, or he's sleeping in another room or he's still sleeping." Jake said warmly and continued his words.

"And from what I remember, Sunoo wasn't feeling well yesterday either. He may still be resting and Jungwon doesn't want to leave him alone." Jake said. Niki let go of his grip a bit and frowned at Jay, who began to cough from choking from the juice.

"You deserve it" Nikki raised his voice as tears lined up in the choked Jay's eyes. One of the nurses came towards them with a worried look on her face.

"Everything is fine here?" she asked. Jay cleared his throat and nodded affirmatively. She looked towards the empty places and shrunk her eyebrows.

"Where are your friends?" she suddenly asked. Niki, Jay and Jake exchanged looks until Jay improvised an answer.
