Jay finished the surprise quiz that the nurse gave them and looked towards the two empty places where Heeseung and Jake sat. Jay wonders if Jake managed to get to Heeseung and see that everything was fine. The nurse smiled at Jay and looked at him.
"Have you checked your answers?" she asked as she looked at the test itself. Jay crinkled his eyebrows. After all, the quiz was not that difficult, at least for him. He knew that the stuff they learned was several levels above their ages, because he saw on television what children at his age were taught and it was not formulas disappearing. The children who were in the orphanage were smart and were a few levels above what they showed on TV. Jay remembered that at the age of five they were taught to read and write and from there ,they only raised the level itself. He didn't understand why but it wasn't something that bothered him so much. Jay could have been the same level of wisdom Jake had, but he was too lazy to learn, so he did the minimum and tried not to stand out too much.
"Yes and I know they are correct," Jay said confidently. A question of this style would probably undermine other kids but not Jay. Once he was sure of something no one could not undermine it. The nurse shook her head and looked at the rest of the class who were still immersed in the quiz.
"You have my permission to go out", she gestured with her hand to the exit of the classroom. Some of the kids raised their heads and looked enviously at Jay. Jay responded by shrugging his shoulders and leaving the classroom.
"If you work hard like Jay you too will be able to leave earlier" he heard the nurse say as he closed the classroom door. He still had the bad feeling that he couldn't shake it off. He tried to think about where Jake and Heeseung could go, but nothing came to mind.
"Interesting" Jay heard a voice down the hall. He wrinkled his eyebrows and he didn't know why, but he followed the sound.
"Yes. You sure they don't know?" another voice was heard and Jay blinked a few times. He recognized the voice of one of his friends, Niki. The woman who spoke to him giggled and headed towards the corridor where Jay was in.
"Don't worry they- oh" the nurse's words were interrupted when she looked at him in surprise when Niki emerged from behind her.
"Oh Jay" Niki said straight up and ran towards him. He looked for a few moments at the nurse who was tightening her lips. The nurse crossed the hall quickly as Jay looked at the question towards Niki.
"Something happened?" Jay asked worriedly. Niki shook his head negatively.
"No, no. I was just a little distracted in class and the nurse noticed it, so she just wanted to check that everything was okay and we started talking a bit. I told her about some series I started watching" Niki looked at Jay with an innocent look in his eyes.
"Ok. Go back to the classroom. You have to learn" Jay said and started walking but Niki caught up with his steps.
"I am bored in class. Besides, I was distracted because I kept thinking about Sunghoon" Niki started saying. Jay tightened his lips and nodded affirmatively .He also cared for his friend and wanted to know that everything was fine with him.
"Fine, but if anyone asks I insist you go back to class" Jay said and Nki nodded affirmatively at him. He knew it was wrong to get Niki to skip class, but on the other hand, he understood the concern that Niki had. Besides, he will be able to complete what they learned from Jungwon or Sunoo.
"So are we going to the clinic?" Niki asked when Jay started going up to the first floor of the orphanage.
"Yes" Jay answered and hoped that the bad feeling in his chest would soon disappear. He still did not understand why he had this feeling. After a few minutes of quiet walking , Niki continued to talk.
