7. Dancing At night

HAPPINESS (I don't know what to call this so let's just say happiness <3)

Steve's pov:
Me and Eddie were living in the same house at the time. It was a big house, close to the oh I had before but a bit smaller. It was currently 2am and I could not sleep at all. I turned to the other side checking the clock '2:26am' it read. I groaned and got up out of bed heading downstairs to the kitchen. I opened one of the cupboards near the stover grabbing some cup that was in there. I take the glass closing the cupboard and walking to the sink. Filling the cup with cold water. I sat down on top the wood counter holding my glass of water taking sips of water every now and then, now being completely awake. I was so tired, I just wanted to sleep. But my body wouldn't let me.

I sat alone in my thoughts for around 20 minutes, though it all felt as if it was eternity. Still wide awake. I grab the radio from the kitchen table putting it on some rock station. 'Boys Don't Cry' by the cure was playing. I loved that song. I sang to it still drinking my large cup of water.

Eddie's pov:
I thought I could hear music coming from downstairs, I check the clock reading it was still 230am. I look on the other side of some seeing Steve not there. I feel a bit of worry on my stomach and mind. I get out of bed, walking around the upstairs then heading downstairs. Into the kitchen I see Steve singing along to the cure. I smile widely before walking up to him.

I touch his shoulder a bit making him jump. "Oh, hey Eds" Steve speaks while smiling "hey Stevie. Whatcha doing?" I ask "just kind of sitting down here, listening to some music. I can't really sleep so" I pull him close and kiss his forehead then to his lips. A soft but passionate kiss warmed eachother. Just as I realize, 1979 by the smashing pumpkins were playing. It was me and Steve's song! It reminded us when we were still young and teenagers, being reckless and having fun. Steve smiles catching on to what was playing. He jumps off the counter putting his hand out "may thee Eddie Munson dance with me?" Steve asks still holding his out waiting for my return of response "of course" I grab his hand starting to dance around the kitchen and living room with him.

'Cool kids, never had the time.'

Me and Steve sang along still dancing with each other in the living room. Turning up the music we pull each other into a kiss just as the chorus comes on.

"I love you" "I love you too you big idiot" we kissed and hugged while the songs started to end. I love him.
