STEDDIE (ONESHOTS)

17. Nintendo

The year takes place in 1991, Steve and Eddie have been together since 1986.

Eddie's pov:
The Nintendo just came out! It was like this type of video game thing console I guess, I dont really know. But the kids will NOT stop talking about it!

Me and Steve had finally had enough of them talking about it, we both agreed we rather them go back to fighting over what kind of pasta was best or something stupid like that.

Steve and I agreed that's we get them one, and it wasn't TOO expensive than all those other consoles that were coming out, it was about 100 bucks I think? I don't know-

Me and Steve were getting in the car getting ready to go to the store to buy it.

"Steve?"

"Yeah Eddie?"

"Why did the kids want the Nintendo thing so much again?" I asked Steve as we drove .

"I think it was because of this game called super mario brothers, and this other one called Street Fighter I'm pretty sure"

"Ohh okay, street fighter sounds kind of fun"

"Kind of, we'll see once we give it to them" steve said as he chuckled.

I nodded with a chuckle and looked out my window , we didn't live far but we didn't live close to the store.

TIME SKIP (I'm so sorry 😭) AFTER THEY BOUGHT THE NINTENDO.

Me and Steve put the bag with the Nintendo in the backseat and started driving (again), to the wheelers since it was where they all usually hung out I guess. Probably because mike has this big ass basement.

We soon arrived to the wheelers, where we went up the steps with the brown paper bag and knocked.

Karen answered the door with a smile.

"Oh hi Steve and Eddie! How are you guys? The kids are in the basement!"

Steve smiled back

"Hi mrs. Wheeler, we're doing fine! Oh and sorry if the basket gets loud!"

Karen moved out of the way to let us in. We took of our shoes and denim jackets hanging in the small closet at front.

We headed downstairs a little excited holding the bag.

We got down there and everybody greeted us with either a "hey" or a "hi" .

"Okay guys! Come sit down on the couch me and Eddie have something for you guys!" Steve said standing infront of the coffee table with me.

All the kids nodded and went and sat down. They all looks fairly happy.

"Can we open it?" Dustin spoke up.

Steve looked at me and I nodded.

"Yeah, you guys can"

Everybody gained this wide smile on their face as they all pulled what was out of the decent sized paper bag.

"HOLY SHIT!!" Dustin yelled,

"NO WAY! " Max and mike screamed.

And Lucas and will? They both sat in shock smiling.

I held Steve's hand smiling at him.

"Thank you thank you thank you!" Dustin and Lucas said coming up to us with a hug. We all smiled and started to hook it up and take turns playing.

Street fighter was pretty fun.
