The sun was setting, tinting the room pink and red, warmth rising from the floorboards as I stepped into Levi's office. It was untouched from the weeks of him being bedridden to a hospital room.
I saw him in his chair, working steadily at the masses of paperwork that had gathered on his desk. He hadn't been able to do anything while in the coma, so it all just piled up over time.Levi saw me enter, but remained unspoken and continued writing.
I went over to his desk, placing my palms on the table. "Why aren't you greeting me?"
He stopped writing. "I'd assumed you could tell I was aware that you were here."
I dismissed his rude tone with a sparky remark. "What's gotten into you? Did that injury mess with your head too?" My words stung him, and he put the pen down.
"Why are you here?" His voice was neutral, but I could see how he avoided my gaze. I was unable to decipher why he was being so unfriendly.
"Visiting the man who I fell for, but obviously he's not here right now," I turned and headed for the door, discomposure leading my feet. "Do tell me when he returns."
Levi grabbed my sleeve before I got far, leaning over his desk. "Wait," He grumbled. "I'm sorry."
I yanked my arm out of his grasp, troubled by his weird actions. He sat back in his chair, brushing his finger through his raven black hair. It fell back in the exact same position despite him moving it. He looked unbelievablely handsome even when mad.
"Tell me what's going on," I said, sitting down in the chair that was on the other side of the desk. I place one of my legs over the other, awaiting his answer angrily.
Levi tossed me an aggravated look. "I don't know what to think right now," His expression then softened.
"I feel responsible for what happened."
I dropped my wall, all my anger thawing. "Levi, you can't be serious."
"Perhaps it's not best to be involved with me. You should leave." That sentence drove a sword through me, eyes flashing with refusal. "I'm sorry for dragging things on."
"Stop it," I was now the one giving orders, standing authoritively. "You know as well as I do that neither of us caused what happened."
He seemed to be getting irritated, standing up as well. "If I had listened to you about that dream, or if I had simply stayed away from you, I wouldn't have hurt you."
"You didn't hurt me- If anything I hurt you by not trying harder to prevent that dream from happening!" I argued.
"You didn't do anything," He growled, leaning closer.
"Neither did you, and you know it," I challenged him. "Levi, I have such strong feelings for you that if you leave me now, I don't know what I'll do."
"... You'll learn to live without me."
"Do you even feel anything for me?!" I lashed out, face hot with anger.
Levi stopped in his tracks, eyes dropping as he spoke. "You wouldn't believe how strongly I feel about you, Y/n..."
"Then prove it," My provoking wordings struck a flame inside him, and when his eyes went back up to meet mine, I saw lust.
He placed a knee up on his desk in order to lean even further over it, kissing me harshly as his hands traveled down to my waist. I wrapped my arms around his back, digging my nails into his spine. His lips against mine threw me into a pit of light, my breathing unsteady. I crawled over the desk to deepen the kiss, Levi standing on the other side as he held me close, not stopping for a single second as he went rampant on my body.
