Daisuke
"We're here," I say, parking the car.

"Why are we at a park?"  Nova asks, confused.

"It's not just any park, this was the park we met at, across from the skate park." I say.

"Ohh now I remember." She smiles, taking in the scenery.

I know you're hungry, so I brought food." I say getting out of the car and taking a cooler from my trunk.

I cooked a lot of my favorite food for her to try so I hope she likes it. We walked to a picnic table and I set the food down.

"You made all this?" She asks surprised.

"Of course."

"I got myself a housewife for real." She jokes.

"Shut up and try it." I smile.

She takes a bite and her eyes light up, that's when I knew I did a good job.

"This is so good Daisuke."

"Thank you, I appreciate it."

"Honestly, I should get a kiss or something for my good work." I smirk.

She smiles brightly, she's so pretty. Standing up she walks over to sit next to me and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"That's all I get?" I protest.

"There's kids around." She explains.

"And?" I ask, confused.

"Remind me not to go to a park with you again." She laughs.

She tries to scoot away but I pull her closer keeping my arm wrapped around her waist. And she looks up at me with a frown. She was cute even when she was mad.

I lean down, giving her a soft kiss on the lips, not being able to hold back. She kisses me back and I pull away with a satisfied smirk. We continued to eat with her praising me for how well I cooked everything.

"So," Nova says.

"What's wrong?" I ask, picking up on how nervous she was.

"I know you told me a little bit about your family but I don't really know everything."

"It's a lot, are you sure you wanna hear all of it?" I ask, there were a lot of things I haven't told Nova yet mostly because I didn't want her to pity me, plus I knew she was dealing with a lot of things  herself.

"You don't have to tell me anything that you're not comfortable with; it's just I honestly feel like I know nothing about you." She says worriedly.

"No it's fine I want to tell you, I mean you're going to have to know eventually."I take a minute trying to think of where to start.

"Both my parents were heirs to their families business and both of their families were historically rich. my mom is from Japan and my dad was from Korea, they ended up getting married to help boost their economic influence."

"I lived in Korea with my mom and dad for a while but my mom was barely home. She had to travel back and forth to Japan to help run her family's business. So naturally I spent a lot of time with my dad, he was the best man that could ever exist to me. Until he started drinking, he started abusing me when I was thirteen, I used to get beat so bad to the point where I couldn't walk." I pause, shaking my head.

"And the craziest part of it all was that I wanted to hate him so badly but I never could. I knew somewhere deep down he was a good man. I just can't help but to think that somehow everything was my fault." I feel my eyes start to water and I blink quickly, stopping the tears from forming.
