I crinkle my nose at the smell of alcohol and sweat consuming the air. The strong stench almost makes me gag. I walk further into the crowded room, everyone is dancing and drinking from their plastic cups. The music is so loud it feels like the room is shaking.

I hold a red plastic cup in my hand, it crinkles as I nervously grip it. I have been to many parties. All of them are the same, most people are obnoxious and rude, and sometimes drama happens by a fight breaking out. Sometimes I find myself starting the drama. I'm a little slut for drama.

As I move around the dancing people, attempting to not trip. My eyes land on a girl I have never seen before. Actually there are a few people I've never seen before at this party.

I raise the cup up to my lips, watching the girl. She is walking around nervously. It looks like she is out of place but her outfit tells a different story. She is wearing a tight black spaghetti strap shirt that has a chain nail cover over it, with black leather pants. Her blonde hair is curled to perfection and placed eccentrically on her shoulder.

I take another sip of the alcohol before making an executive decision to go over to her.

It could be good to make a friend.

Or it could be a total disaster.

This is not a time to be an introverted Ash.

With an eye roll, I make my way over to her through the sweaty dancing bodies.

"Loud isn't it." I say from beside her, she sends me a confused look.

"Are you talking to me?" She asks, looking around and pointing at herself. I just nod at her with a warm smile. Warm smile my ass, what am I trying to be, welcoming?

"So, are you new here?" I ask, I already know she is since I haven't ever seen her before, and I'm very observant. At least most of the time. Some of the time. When I'm not high. . . Or drunk.

"Is it that obvious?" She asks nervously, I just shake my head in a "No" answer. But really yes.

"Well, I know everyone and I don't know you." I remark while looking around at all the drunk teenagers, many of which either go to my highschool or graduated a few years ago.

"I'm Aelin." She says while holding out her hand to shake it, with a smile I shake her hand. Not the time to be a bitch.
